Rapidshare, Rapidshare.com False advertising Rip Off! Unlimited accounts actually *do* have limits Schweiz Germany Internet

So, I feel for ya. It's true, Rapidshare is shady as all get out. No customer service number. They make it very hard to contact them, or have your grievances addressed.

I didn't realize there was anything on the sign-up page that says so, infact I can't even *get* to the sign-up page at this point because I am auto-logged in to their system every time I go to their page. I've checked their faq and every other page on their website and nothing indicates this limit.

I did some further web research and found a few other people very upset by this fact. What's really "odd" is that Rapidshare in the past had that limited stated clearly in their FAQ, but they removed the entire section some time back. WHY? Why would they remove such an important note and still enforce it? If they removed it some time ago you would think they would have removed the limit as well? Unless.. they are trying to be deceptive on *purpose*?


Sure looks that way to me. Why would a company go to such lengths to hide the fact that their supposed "UNLIMITED" accounts *do* have "LIMITS". It's still false advertising and they should be held liable for it. They have no right to call the account "UNLIMITED" if it clearly is not.

On the page that says become a premium member. Note that there is an asterick of sorts next to unlimited, then go to the very bottom of the page and it clearly states that you are limited to 25 GB every 5 days.

Pretty slick for 'unlimited', but it is there when you sign up.
