I was asked to sign a contract with RCA Credit Services, that basically said that I understood that they would "attempt" to help me, and that there was no promise or gaurrantee. I understood this and agreed, and wrote them a check for $2,850. After no new tradelines showed up after 90 days I made several attempts to contact them, all to no avail. After my Broker got involved, he got through and was told that the President of the company was going to personnally take care of it.
I waited another 60 days, and there was still no sign of any work being done. the President of the company allegedly just wanted my Broker to keep running my credit report to see if anything had showed up. We did, and nothing ever showed up.
I then spoke to my attorney, who in turn contacted the 3 credit bureaus and received my credit reports from them. After further review there was no indication of RCA Credit Services ever doing anything with my credit. They never even made an inquiry on my credit. I have been attempting to contact the only number I have for them, which is a cell phone number for an employee named Brady, to no avail.
My attorney and I have concluded that the entire thing was a scam. Typically, a client will pay the money and just go away. And, if in fact the tries to follow up with RCA Credit, they can easily say well the contract you signed stated that there are no promises or gaurantees to the success of our efforts.
I have now decided to start looking at doing a negative internet, billboard, and radio commercial campaign just to keep others from "being had" by these scam artists. Thankfully, I am an entrepuneur and have the resources at my disposal to do all of these negative campaigns against them. The $2.850 is not the issue, it is the fact that when I pay someoen for a service I expect them to give an effort.
It seems that RCA Credit does nothing but take people's money and then avoid them until they go away. then they move on to their next victim. this is unacceptable, and I am planning to make it my personal mission to run this comapny and it's employees and officers, not only out of bussines, but out of the state of Florida. And, remember folks if they fold up and re-open under a new name, there are easy ways to figure this out, and they would still be the same company.

What?

Thomas, you raise solid points. Is this company actually stating that they will boost your credit rating by reporting phoney un-used credit?
That, my friends, is fraud. If you hire somebody to do such a thing, and then apply for REAL credit, you are most likely making false statements on a credit application. At best, this is a violation of civil law and, at worst, it's a violation of criminal laws.
There is one way to boost your credit score that Thomas didn't mention. You can file disputes regarding all derogatory accounts listed on your credit report. Chances are that a few of your creditors won't respond to the dispute investigations, and the reporting agencies will be legally required to remove the blights from your reports.

I do not understand this "pay someone to boost your FICO score" gig....

The ONLY ways I know to boost one's credit rating, or maintain one's favorable credit rating, are:
1. Pay ALL of your bills on time, and as agreed to by you;
2. Do not EVER max out a credit card;
3. Keep your credit card balances BELOW 50% of your credit limit;
4. And remember that if your credit card balances reach even 20% of your credit limit, you will take a (minor) credit rating hit;
5. Do not EVER default on a mortgage or "give a house back to the bank". NOT EVER! Because if you do default on a mortgage, you will probably NEVER be able to get a mortgage again. Banks talk to one another, and all banks have very long memories.
Now think about this:
If you were a creditor, would you want to loan money to someone who got their credit rating pumped up with phoney "positive credit tradelines"??
B/t/w pumping up a bad credit rating with phoney "positive credit tradelines" to obtain money (credit) is called FRAUD. Do you know what can happen to people who commit FRAUD to obtain money effectively under false pretenses? After all, the creditor IS relying on your credit rating as a means to decide whether or not to extend you credit, and obtaining credit under false premises is FINANCIAL FRAUD.
And do you REALLY think that most creditors are not aware of this scheme of pumping up a bad credit rating with phoney "positive credit tradelines"?
I think everyone who is trying to cover up their past credit mistakes with these tactics had better rethink what they are doing.
I still carry a house mortgage that I could easily pay off, because it keeps our excellent credit rating alive and well. I will buy cars, boat docks, land, whatever, for cash. But when you pay cash, your credit rating is NOT improved in any way.
So I suggest that everyone save their money because this "pumping up a bad credit rating with phoney "positive credit tradelines" is just another form of "get rich quick". If anyone still wishes to persist with this nonsense, I have a lovely bridge in Brooklyn that you can..

As an update, I have not been contacted by anyone from RCA, I have left numerous messages at the office number and no response. There is still no new activity on my credit report, not even a new inquiry, let alone new tradelines. Again, I have to assume that the entire operation is a scam, and RCA Credit is nothing more than a rip off service.

RCA Credit Experience...

Hello,
I was wondering if you had any updates on your case? I'm asking because I recently had my mom to sign up with RCA Credit to increase her FICO score. I'm kinda upset with myself for not checking out this company before she signed up. Her 30-60 days haven't passed yet so I'm not going to file a report. I really would hate for her to be looking forward to something and it doesn't happen. So, Is there anyway that I can contact you by phone,email, etc.
Thanks,

On 01/28/2008, I receive an e-mail that the "owner" of the company has a rebuttal to my report. He now claims that the trade lines were reporting on the wrong SSN, and he has taken steps to connect the trade lines to the proper SSN. That is odd considering my real name is not apart of this claim. My SSN does not appear. So, tell me Mr. Owner, how are you going to correct this. Are you sure of who I am? I hope so, I have left numerous messages at your office, and have never received a return phone call. I have recently purchased numerous billboards within Pasco, Pinellas, and Hillsborough county, they are scheduled to be updated with my ads the first week of March. My Attorney has spoken with numerous news outlets (i.e. channel 8, 10, 13), they have all agreed to look into RCA Credit. My next step is to order my newspaper ads, and 30 second commercials.
So, as the "owner" of the comapny, if in fact you know which client this is, I would appreciate a phone call. And, maybe we can get this worked out before it goes too far. Let me know your thoughts.

I reviewed this case and found out that the error in reporting happen due to the lines reporting to the wrong SSN. We have reported the lines to the correct SSN provided from the client and the lines will report within 60 to 90 days.
