RECEIVABLES MANAGEMENT GROUP Said they would remove the credit and never did. Internet
*Consumer Suggestion: file a complaint with your state attorney general
My husband and I were working to improve his credit so that we could buy a home. After paying off all his debts we were alerted of a "new" debt. Upon calling the company we discovered that they debt is from 2008 and for 133$ from Columbia House. We have NEVER had an account with columbia house. We were told to contact columbia house and have them inform Receivable Managment Group to remove the debts. We did and Columbia House said they would have them remove the debt because they couldnt even find my husbands name, social, or birthday. A year later the 133$ debt is still on my husbands credit, for an account we have never even had.

file a complaint with your state attorney general

I am not an attorney. I been somewhat in your position so I offer
this advice as a fellow consumer.
I would record the call with columbia house that they have no record
of you. This may be sneaky. They started this and if you have to drag Columbia House thru the mud -----thats the way the ball bounces.
I would then file a complaint against columbia house and the collection agency. Do this in your state as well as the state they reside in.
Should they call you (collection agency) record the calls. if they threaten or harass you. You might be able to sue. Find a National Association of Consumer Attorneys. They might take the case on a contingency basis.
If they record your calls. You should have the right to record their calls.
I believe they will recind the info on the credit report. You can also file a complaint with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. A U.S government agency.
Good Luck to you.
