I first heard about this company on a christian radio station, the company claims to show people how to start a business at home in the field of import/export as an agent. With their help they assist you in becoming an export agent. The company claims that as an export agent you will be able to locate buyer's, and seller's from all over the world, and arrange deals between the two for a percentage of the deal.

Reis network or wbe.net charges $499.00 to become a member. As a member you get a 38pg training manual and a video tape, as well as access to the members website at a $25.00 monthly fee. This website has a network of buyers and sells worldwide. The problem with the site is that when you try to contact the so called buyer's and seller's they don't exist. This company is one big ripoff I became a member on 2/11/05, and have yet to close a deal. Each and every time I attempted to contact the buyer or seller it would seem that they do not exist. I have filed a complaint with the Attorney Generals office.

#2 UPDATE EX-employee responds

D. Roby's rebuttal is misleading

AUTHOR: Anonymous - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, January 05, 2009

I worked closely with the Robys who own the REIS network and WBE.net business for a good length of time, actually for far too long in retrospect. I was horrified and disappointed by what I discovered not only about their business practices but also about their personal life which Mr. Roosevelt Roby is all too happy to share whether you are willing to listen or not. They are skilled, expert con-artists at using the name of God and the so-called miracle of international trade opportunities to market and promote their business- Mr. Roby's famous "You Can Become God's New Millionaire!" can be heard on various radio outlets throughout the country and they usual target minority communities who they believe to be too ignorant, unsuspecting, trusting in their faith in God, and desperate and hungry for a successful business opportunity to critically analyze and see through their deceitful tactics.

The bottom line is that the program and training may have been successfull for some members several years ago when the internet was still new and there weren't very many venues to conduct electronic-based international trade. The information included in the informational package and video training that costs $499 is completely outdated, the WBE.net database which you pay a monthly fee to access hasn't been updated in several years so the vast majority of the contacts are invalid, the methods they instruct you in to conduct trade deals such as sending out form letters and faxes just don't work and you'll end up running around in circles while you try to complete trade deals that have no chance of closing.

And by the way, the so-called "expert" coaches are primarily just telemarketers who have very little if any formal education beyond high school (at best) and receive ZERO company training on how to successfully coach members into closing trade deals. The coaches are just sales reps who are under pressure to sign-up new members and have no idea how to do trade deals themselves, although many of them try and are encouraged by Mr. Roby to close their own deals (on their own time), they end up failing miserably since the techniques don't work. Any coaching information they give members is either just a response read from a standard script rebuttal or hear-say information that doesn't actually work.

Think about it, if the program worked so well, why aren't there more testimonials and why aren't the Roby's doing CURRENT, new deals themselves that they've closed and can tell their members about first-hand? Oh, and don't try to ask Mr. Roby's wife Kathy for a refund, lol. She'll use Biblical quotes and other tactics to demean the member into thinking it's their own fault why they haven't been successful and excuses to the effect that God only rewards those who have faith and keep enduring though to the end. What a load of crap just to keep you from getting your money back! They keep the price at $499 to avoid scrutiny and prosecution by the State of California where they are based which has special requirements and regulations for educational courses that cost $500 or more.

You're better off reading John Spiers' book "How Small Business Trades Worldwide: Your Guide to Starting or Expanding a Small Business International Trade Company Now" and taking his online trade course which is very affordable although not perfect.

By the way, D. Roby is Mr. Roby's son Denny who he has fired and rehired several times over the years for his incompetence and unprofessionalism.
