If you think a good contractor is expensive, try a bad contractor, or negligent Nevada State Contractors Board, its Investigator Gary Leonard, Manager Gary Hoid, Chief of Enforcement Daniel Hammack, and Director of Investigations George Lyford. An internet search is a simple and readily available confirmation of one's reputation. Reputation is character minus what you've been caught doing wrong.

We were an 12 year customer of Reno's Desert Hills Fire and Security Systems aka Desert Hills Video Security Systems Nevada State Contractor's Board licensed as DESERT HILLS ELECTRIC INC, James Harrison, Alton W. Harrison, Michael A. Harrison, Ross, and Bill. Desert Hills installed the video security system at out latest property. We questioned why aren't the cameras working? Ross and Bill wrote the wiring was shorted out and the cameras now were bad and ALL needed to be replaced at our expense, after Ross and Bill refused to attach the electrical system as per code. Ross and Bill then gave us their potty mouth, profane, colorful and vulgar analysis of us then walked out leaving us with an inoperative camera system and dangerous electrical wires that looked like spaghetti on top of our attic insulation instead of fastened up and neatly fastened up as required by Code. Which we confirmed WAS required BEFORE we started getting our contractor estimates. Desert Hills FAILED to perform work to code, in a workmanlike manner and promoting our health, safety and welfare as required.

Because we had first done our due diligence and confirmed what WAS required by Code BEFORE we started getting our contractor estimates we were then very surprised, saddened and disappointed when Nevada State Contractors Board Investigator Gary Leonard, Manager Gary Hoid, Chief of Enforcement Daniel Hammack, and Director of Investigations George Lyford IGNORED our complaint to them about Desert Hills negligence and failure to perform their work in to code and in a workmanlike manner as required by Nevada Revised Statue 624 to protect our health, safety and welfare.

The Nevada State Contractors Board, Investigator Gary Leonard, Manager Gary Hoid, Director of Investigations George Lyford, Chief of Enforcement Daniel Hammack, and Executive Director Margi Grein FAILED to do their charged duty which is to promote public confidence and trust in the competence and integrity of licensees and to protect the health, safety and welfare of the public.

We called FCC Communications who determined the wiring NOT to be shorted out, and that the polarity was incorrectly REVERSED on the electrical supply to the cameras which is why the cameras were not working. Glenn and Todd of FCC Communications reversed the polarity, used the EXISTING wiring and the EXISTING cameras worked.

Desert Hills then refused to reimburse us for their errors and the FCC Communications work we had paid for.

Desert Hills Fire and Security Systems aka Desert Hills Video Security Systems Nevada State Contractor's Board licensed as DESERT HILLS ELECTRIC INC, James Harrison, Alton W. Harrison, Michael A. Harrison, Ross, and Bill, your reputation is your character minus what you've been caught doing wrong.

Nevada State Contractors Board Investigator Gary Leonard, Manager Gary Hoid, Chief of Enforcement Daniel Hammack, and Director of Investigations George Lyford, your reputation is your character minus what you've been caught doing wrong.

We recommend xxx (((REDACTED))) Communications and will use them from now on out. Beware Nevada State Contractors Board, its Investigator Gary Leonard, Manager Gary Hoid, Chief of Enforcement Daniel Hammack, and Director of Investigations George Lyford.
