On September 13, 2012, we contacted Resist Flame to get order confirmations/ tracking information on 14 yds of fabric that they received August 28, 2012 and which was to be completed in 2 weeks.  On September 13th they responded saying that the fabric was finishing today or tomorrow and shipping Friday or Monday.

On September 14th, I requested an updated ETA/ tracking information and they replied with all finished, shipping today or Monday. On September 17th I requested tracking information and they said all finished, shipped today, you will receive tracking information for everything late tonight or first thing tomorrow. On September 18th I still had no information and requested it again. They asked me to call them the next morning. On September 19th I called and no one answered. I emailed and they responded later with its all finished shipping Thursday or Friday (even though they had already told me it was shipping the past Friday or Monday). I asked for tracking on the 20th and they said shipped, I will supply tracking information when I receive it.

On October 4th we received news that our fabricator had not received the fabric, I contacted them via email and phone on October 4th with no reply. I contacted them on October 8th again via phone and email with no reply. On October 11th a colleague contacted them requesting tracking information with no reply. On October 12th we contacted them again requesting tracking information with no reply.  In between all of these emails I called multiple times/ left multiple messages from our office phone with no answer/reply. I quickly learned they were blocking our phone calls because when I would then call from different personal phones and they would answer. When they would answer when we called from different numbers we would be promised the tracking information by the end of the day, in 2-3 hours, by 1PM today.  When I would try calling back from the number they answered, they would not answer. I had to continue to call from different numbers until they answered.

On October 16th, we finally received an email from them giving us the tracking information saying the fabric just shipped on October 15th with absolutely no apology. Our fabricator received the fabric on October 22nd
and when he unrolled it, discovered the fabric was badly stained from the treatment process and could not be used. Our firm now has to eat the cost of purchasing another 14 yards of this fabric. On top of the cost of the fabric, we will have to pay for it to be stain treated (at a different facility) and expedited in shipping since all of these delays are causing the fabricator to be nervous about getting everything done by the install date. This was just one scenario trying to deal with Resist Flame- there were many others. I do not
recommend ANYONE to do ANY business with them. You might think that it will not happen to you- but it will. Look at all of the other reports where the same scenario happened.  They are impossible to do business with and hopefully everyone will realize this before doing any business with them. Their business will fail, hopefully sooner than later so that no one else has to deal with this.

response to fictitious complaint

AUTHOR: Fabric Finishing - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, January 24, 2013

This report or comment is from and account/customer , whose business ended with us in September of 2012 when we decided to close their account at the end of a project,  During the dates mentioned in their post, they were inquiring as to perspective treatments and price quotes for and upcoming project.  As of that inquiry and the shipment of the final item, we notified them our office was closing their account and we were not interested in quoting for the next project.  Of the item mentioned in this posting, our office was never contacted regarding any damage, nor in November when the final invoice for our service was sent, were we notified of any damage or issue concerning this fabric.
Based on the time sequence this posting is designed to be malicious and damaging.

We find it very odd the timing and reason for the post and believe the principle of that firm/owner is unaware of the staffs actions.  It is possible they have created false and miss leading claims else where that have not been brought to our attention at this time, which could bring
embarrassment to their employer or worse create loss of business to that firm based on the employees actions
