Resort Parks International RPI, RPI Camping Refund Ripoff - Cutting Camprgound Availibility Long Beach CA Internet
*Consumer Comment: De facto change of and reduction of RPI Campgrounds
Terible customer service. I paid my renewal far in advance then found they have cut many cammpgrounds to the point where the service is useless to my family.
I requested a refund of of the advance renewal payment and first said they wanted a $15.00 fee, then said there would be no refund because I had paid more than 30 days prior. While the actual renewal date was almost a month away from my request for a refund.
i have been with them for close to 20 years. I have been with them for close to 20 years. They have changed from a fine company to a scam, judging from my experience.

De facto change of and reduction of RPI Campgrounds
AUTHOR: Brian - (United States)
SUBMITTED: Tuesday, January 02, 2018
My wife and I have been with Resort Parks International close to 20 years. In the ensuing years after we purchased our membership we have seen many of the Park campgrounds sold to Encore. Where we formerly paid a set amount per night as per the contract we now have to spend two or three times as much to stay in the same location. This trend has been consistent with the transfer or closure of many campgrounds which were formerly RPI or RPI Preferred. I belileve it will continue until virtually all of the campgrounds are purchased or transferred to ELS Properties of which Encore is a component. When ELS got involved we were informed there would be changes but there was an assurance that most of our campgrounds would remain as RPI. It is now apparent that is not the case. The result is that the net value of mine and others memberships is being significantly reduced. Although the company maintains it is still independent RPI is complicit in the change and reduction of our campgrounds. if they continue to do this we may not have any RPI campgrounds not affiliated with Encore in the future. What is to stop them if they are not challenged. The company and it's lawyers may maintain that their services to it's original members are being provided as per the contract yet there is the clear picture, prima facie, that this is a de facto change in terms of membership. i would like to hear from other members who have been similarly affected and would consider exploring our legal options.
