In March, 2006, we purchased a Time Share at Playa Del Sol, Los Cabos, Mexico. Using information provided by Playa Del Sol Resorts, we paid $399.00 to RIMC on April 6, 2006, for which sum they were to send us a contract and advertise and market our time share for rent.

At the end of April, we finally received the contract(dated April 19, 2006) in the mail, but decided not to go ahead with it. Under "Terms & conditions", clause #4 in the contract reads:
RIMC REALIZES THAT CIRCUMSTANCES CHANGE AND THEREFORE IF I DECIDE NOT TO MARKET MY TIMESHARE I WILL NOTIFY RIMC IN WRITING WITHIN 21 DAYS OF THE ABOVE DATE TO RECEIVE A FULL REFUND.

On May 8, on the advice of RIMC Customer Service, we faxed the company notice of our decision not to proceed together with the blank (unsigned) contract, marked "Cancelled", and requested a full refund. I have verification of receipt of the Fax.

On June 24th, after many calls to the RIMC "accounting office" and "customer service", and attempts to reach Phaedra Almstead, we sent a letter with the above information, and copies of all correspondence with RIMC, by Certified Mail, Return Receipt Requested, to Phaedra Almstead at Resorts International Marketing.

I did receive the return receipt which was stamped and signed by RIMC on June 27. but that is all we have received. No credit, no calls, Does this company and this woman Pheadra Almstead exist? Has anyone been able to get a refund from this phantom company?

I was scammed as well by Resorts International through Playa Del Sol

AUTHOR: Shar - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, November 04, 2006

I totally agree with Kathryn from Massachusetts. I have been trying to get a refund from Resorts International Marketing for 3 months. They charged my credit card without my authorization. I never sent in their signed contract to sign up for their services.

I have spoken with 5 different people and each assured me my refund was in process. The last person I spoke with claimed to be a manager and she was so rude. She acted as thought it was my fault.

The employee that responded that they refund money is totally in denial about her boss Phaedra Almstead. I found an address for Phaedra Almstead. Perhaps if we write to her we can get a response.

First of all let me say that we are a legal company and that you are reporting wrong counts because if you cancelled within your 21 day period we are good about refunding our customers. so i suggest you get your story straight and then accuse my boss of rip you off. RIMC Employee.
