After a few bad years, I'm in the process of rebuilding my credit. I took a Rewards 660 card even though they charge $250 for one. When it came, I activated the card and used a little less than $50. So far, so good. When it came due, I paid the entire balance on-line as was advertised as a convenience. They refused to credit my account for 14 days because they said sometimes checks come back.

By the time the 14 days expired, they said I was now over the limit because they added late charges and tacked on another $67. I tried to work with them since the balance was paid in full and NOT late. They refused so I paid the remainder of the balance. THEN they reported a negative, over balance to all of my credit files. But there's more.

The next thing they did even though they finally admitted that the account was paid in full, that my payment went through, was make a new demand that I go to my bank and get a copy of the cancelled check and send it to them to prove what they already admit that everything is fine. Since I have refuse to jump through anymore hoops, they have now reported to credit bureus that the account was closed by the grantor as if I'd done something wrong.

This company is a scam. I'm convinced that they will close the account and keep the $250 fee anyway they can. I've reported them to the Texas Attorney General and encourage others who have been scammed by them to do the same.

So many complaints have been filed against Rewards 660 that two of the three credit reporting agencies no longer accept reports from this "company". My understanding is that several Attorney General's across the US are also investigating them.
