WHY do people keep falling for this scam?

AUTHOR: Giselle - (United Kingdom)

POSTED: Saturday, March 19, 2016

The envelope stuffing scam has been around since the 1920's.  It emerged during the Great Depression.  It has remained a strong and profitable scam because people are so woefully stupid and/or naive.  What is sad is that it's generally people who can least afford to part with money that fall for this, i.e. the disabled, college students, the elderly and single moms.  Listen, no one is going to pay you $ to sit on your bum and stuff envelopes. That doesn't make any sense!  Automated envelope stuffing machines have been around since the 1950's.  Why would someone pay another person large sums of money to stuff envelopes when they can buy an envelope stuffing machine for less than 1k and it is faster, more efficient and more cost-effective than using a human.  Please do some research.  Search on envelope stuffing here at this site.  Then pop over to yahoo or google and do the same search.  Hopefully, after you realize your folly, you won't ever fall for this again.  And be sure to tell your friends and family so they won't fall for this slimy scam either.  It is only through educating people that maybe no one will fall for this scam and it will go away.
