They take advantage of people that are in a hurry and not in the "know" about buying a car. They charged a family member 25% interest (the maximum Fla law will allow) and admitted to doubling the price of the car of the blue book value. Dealer also admitted to me that if a buyer with good credit came in, the price of the car would be cheaper (price gouging). The buyer didn't have "bad credit", he just has "no credit". They do no supply a CARFAX, as every reputable dealer does!! I had to run my own! STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE! Buyer will end up paying $13,000 for a $2,900 car!!! RIP OFF!

It was Family members!

I should clarify... These were family members that did this and they didn't do homework, because they didn't know to. Had I known they were looking for a car, I would've been there on the spot to do all the legwork and I know how to deal with car dealers and car purchases!! HA!

Then get in the know.....

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. It could have been avoided by some simple homework and things to keep in mind. First off, NEVER sign something you do not fully understand and agree to! Second, NEVER succumb to pressure to buy. Never buy ANYTHING when you're in a hurry. You will make a costly mistake. You have two feet, use them at the first sign of uneasiness. If you do not understand what you are signing, and they are pressuring you to sign, politely tell them you need to study the paperwork, or have someone who knows about buying a car look at it. Or have some such person come with you when you're buying!

There are lots of cars out there in the world you'd be happy to own. Thirdly, always always always have your financing in place before you go shopping. This will help you avoid the nasty 25% interest rate, or, if you credit really is that bad, confirm that this is an issue for you. You'll want to find out your credit issues, and potential solutions well before you go into the dealership. Even if you have no established credit, you can probably find someone other than a car dealer to finance you. The car dealer is the LAST person you want to ask in this situation. Vultures on red meat. Fourth, there is no obligation for a dealer to run a Carfax for you. Many do, as a courtesy, but it's not required. Finally, why didn't you just walk away from this place? It sounds like you got enough negative vibes to allow you to do that.
