Robert Branscomb,

Lacey WA insurance agent stole over $400 from us. Robert ordered a website. He wanted one identical to a colleagues site we built. He paid for the website, he approved the final draft via email and then several weeks after the website was operational he did a charge back  from his AMEX card claiming it was “merchandise not as described”. Roberts excuse? Someone took 48 hours to respond to an email. (That was after he was told that the designer would be unavailable during that period). In our opinion Robert is someone of poor character, a cheater of the system, a crook and not be trusted.

If stole isn't the proper term what is?

The facts here are Robert ordered a site IDENTICAL to a peers/collegues site

I have the email where Robert says it looks good and to go ahead and publish

I told Robert I would have it basically done on a Wednesday morning but would be unavailable the rest of the week due to a prior "on-site" obligation.

Robert found some typo's in the corporate provided content.

Robert became angry that I wasn't availble and didn't respond to an email for 47 hours (even after he was informed prior I would be unavailable)

Robert demanded his money back for poor service.

I believed I was totally upfront about everything so I said "no" as I already had labor and website fees invested in the project.

Robert initiated a credit card charge back for "merchandise not as expected".  Remeber, he ordered and approved an identical site to one of his peers/ collegues that I had built. Plus, it was a service, not merchadise and since it was identical to another it was exactly as expected.

Robert had a beautiful fully funtional site with a couple minor typo's that were corrected quickly.

I pleaded with Robert to calm down and be realistic as he was informed I would be unavilable for a few days.  Unfortunately that is the only email I don't have in this case as I informed him of my absence verbally. Regardless, I am sure Robert has left a client waiting for 48 hours at least once in his career.

I am still and have been willing to resolve this with Robert as there is a beautiful fully functional site waiting for him. He can call me anytime to reconcil this and pay back the money he unfairly took from me.

This is the first client I've ever had an issue with since I started in 1999.

Robert instead choose to have over $400 I earned ripped from my account (which caused a negative balance for a single parent) and then to sick attorneys on me for posting this.

Make this right and tell the truth Robert. Maybe stole isn't the right term but I never insinuated you broke into my home but you did take money that I earned fairly, justly, belonged to me and caused me financial hardship and the inability to take credit card payments for several weeks. I told you if you were going to be unfair I would post about it, and I did.  That's why there are places to review experiences all over the internet and all I've done is tell the truth. You were unreasonable and unfair and you did convince your credit card company to steal money I earned fair and square. So, be a stand up guy and lets fix this misunderstanding and I'll post about that too. If your willing? Prove my statements and personal beliefs from this experience are wrong.

So this guy wants you to believe I physical broke into his location and stole $400.00..,,,seems to me American Express found him to be less than worthy of payment and is investigating and recommending a refund..in addition if I stole something from him why post it here instead of calling the cops?? Lastly did you notice how he never left his name or contact information...hmmm I wonder why..for any one of you reading this complaint..think of the last time you paid in advance for a service..didn't find it to your liking and and requested a refund and found yourself listed here in the Rip Off report..sadly we live in a time that anyone one can say what they want about you...lesson here..never pay in advance..I learned my lesson..

What the person filing this report does not mention..

I won't waste time on trying to defend what this person is saying about me....people that know me know better..I will say however what this person does not mention is that I used my AMEX card initially to pay for his service...was not happy with it and disputed the charge with Amex..they investigated and made the determination that I should be refunded..end of story..as I stated earlier..those that know me know I have a good reprutation and those that don't know me hopefully will understand..
