My daughter and I saved for her first car. We tried Craigs List and other private sales.  We decided on Rocky's Auto.  They were repored to be "family oriented". Their dealers saying I would put my own kid in this car.  They could'nt get me out of there fast enough when I purchase the car.  The service was rush, rush.  Two weeks after I bought the car my daughter and I saved for the timing belt went bad.  That was $1065.  Four months later the starter totally died.  $350.  Plus the tow.  Rocky's would take no responsibility saying "if we only had a crystal ball" quoting their GM.  Well I'm telling everyone in Denver, bring your crystal ball before going to Rocky's Auto!  I hope everyone reads this and it helps them before taking their families to this non-family oriented dealership.  My name is Kristine and I am a ripped-off single mom.

AS IS!!!

AUTHOR: Tyg - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, July 09, 2014

Sorry but YOU have NOT been ripped off. Since your vehicle purchase was made AS IS!!! What YOU are calling a ripoff is the inevitable wear and tear that ALL motor vehicles receive. If you had not driven the vehicle then the timing belt would not have broken. It was ONLY through the everyday use of this vehicle that YOU are having to do repairs. THEY are NOT going to take responsibility for YOUR car BECAUSE you purchased it as is. THEY are also 100% RIGHT!!! IF they had a crystal ball, but THEY don't and YOU don't. There is no report, tool, or service that would have told them ahead of time that YOU would need to do these repairs. From the sounds of it, you have had this vehicle for awhile. That being the case, means that YOU are the ONLY responsible party and looking for the dealership to pay for YOUR PROBLEMS only goes to show that YOU ARE THE PROBLEM!!! Get over it because your vehicle purchase was done as is. While Im sure it makes YOU feel better to basically stomp your feet online telling everyone how UNFAIR it all is, there IS a reality that YOU are choosing to ignore in favor of playing a better victim. No gun was held to your head to purchase the vehicle. They DID NOT beat you with baseball bats and rubber hoses in order to secure the sale. And MOST important of ALL......YOU DID NOT READ THE PAPERWORK YOU WERE SIGNING!!!!! If you HAD read the information, YOU would have seen where YOU signed a AS IS form. What this means is that YOU signed away ANY responsibility that they MAY have had. Im also a bit of a betting man and I bet that YOU did not get ANY extended warrenty on the vehicle. Probably because it would have put you over the money that you had already saved. Had you purchased the extended warrenty, then odds are pretty good that your repairs would have been covered. While YOU wish to sit there and tell everyone how "unfair" it is that YOU should be made to pay for YOUR repairs, YOU have to step back and realize how "unfair" what YOU are doing is. YOU 'unfairly" wish for them to pay for all of your repairs. THEY did not drive the vehicle, you did. So which is MORE unfair?? The FACT that this is YOUR VEHICLE and YOU drove it and need repairs because YOU drove it. Or the FACT that they sold it to you AS IS and you NOW expect THEM to pay for YOUR problem. Then YOU add insult to the injury YOU have caused by making a FAKE REPORT. What would be "fair" for THEM is for THEM to sue you for slandering them online and defaming their character all because YOU are too cheap to accept the responsibility that is 100% yours. So.....still feel like playing the victim???
