Singapore Community warns global community to exercise caution and do due diligence when having any business dealings with Roger Hamilton and XL Results Foundation Pte Ltd.

Roger Hamilton is selling a Life Membership program to unsuspecting individuals who are unaware of the community petition, complaints, legal action, mass refund demands and negative press in Singapore and Australia.

Unhappy with business network club
These members demand their money back
40 out of 69 vexed members gather outside club premises

By Tanya Fong

DISGRUNTLED MEMBERS: More than 40 life members of XL Results Foundation outside its Cecil Street office yesterday, including a 13-year-old Singapore boy (second from left in the foreground) representing his doctor father. -- MUGILAN RAJASEGERAN

THEY saw it as a no-risk investment - a way to expand their business contacts and perhaps make some money.

Instead, 40 individuals who bought life membership in an exclusive business networking club gathered outside the office of XL Results Foundation yesterday to demand their money back.

They are part of a group of 69 disgruntled members who claim they were duped by the company's director, millionaire consultant and author Roger Hamilton, who they said promised them the company would buy back their membership at the same price, or at market value.

Instead, members who had bought into the club in order to sell their membership for a profit claimed they were unable to do so. The company, they said, also did not come through on its promise to help them resell their membership.

Although prices increased from US$3,200 in 2003 to about US$8,000 (S$12,400) today, 36-year-old Mr Lai Kum Loon, managing director of a car parts company, said: 'When I wanted to transfer my membership, I was told I had to find my own buyer.'

What is more, members also said they did not get access to the large network of business connections the company promised them.

Among the crowd outside the XL Results office yesterday were five Britons, a Malaysian who came all the way from Malacca and a 13-year-old Singapore boy representing his doctor father, who was at work.

They all wanted to withdraw their membership from the four-year-old operation, which was known formerly Competitive Edge.

The total value of these memberships is about $460,000, more than twice XL Results' reported net profit of $207,612 for the 2005-2006 financial year.

One Singaporean member, Miss Sarah Kong, complained: 'They simply did not provide the contacts of the other members, or those from other countries.'

The club currently has more than 300 life members in Singapore, and about 900 others in 15 other countries.

Membership includes access to the company's training and mentoring workshops in South-east Asia, subscription to its monthly XL Magazine, as well as use of its worldwide networking website.

The complaining members may be on sticky ground, however. Copies of the life membership contracts seen by The Straits Times do not state that the company will buy back life memberships or help find buyers.

Nor is there any clause that says life members have to find their own buyers.
Mr Hamilton, 38, a Briton who is a Singapore permanent resident, is currently in New Zealand on a business trip.

The millionaire, wealth consultant and author of local bestseller Wink And Grow Rich, told The Straits Times on the telephone: 'Today's visit was a press stunt by a group, many are not our members.

'We are looking into this matter. Any member who has concerns can come directly to us and we will look into their request for a transfer and facilitate it.'

Further lies by Roger Hamilton and XL Results Foundation

AUTHOR: Ex Life Member - (Singapore)

POSTED: Sunday, October 07, 2007

I am a business owner based in Singapore and have had previous business dealings with XL Results Foundation.

I read the latest rebuttal by the company and wish to state it is another deceitful attempt to deflect community concern over the dishonest business practices of this company and the individual Roger Hamilton.

As an ex member I went to a forum where 90 members were attempting to get a refund after individually asking for up to two years. Out of 90 members only 8 raised their hand to say they were happy with their membership. Members expressed their concerns and raised the fact they were duped, cheated, lied too, conned, did not agree with the referral/commission (pyramid scheme) and charity fraud. The company was pressured into refunds after it was exposed in the country's leading newspaper.

Roger Hamilton and his accomplices are facing allegations in a court of law in Singapore that they are operating a criminal business a global pyramid scheme.

In fact, Mr Hamilton and the company have attempted to block legal requests to provide full detailed accounts of the company and its full revenue source. (To stem community unrest the company issued basic accounts).

The response to the complaints and the legal file they published is direct proof of a attempt to deflect any questions into this business and a blatant abuse of power.

None of this is substantiated. Based on my experience with this company and its constant churning out of lies. I could personally address many of the blatant lies however, the biggest lie is staggering.

Mr Hamilton said a former employee went to CAD (Commercial Affairs Department) to lodge a complaint against the company www.cad.gov.sg and the investigative officer dismissed this individual and complaint and told Mr Hamilton all about it.

Is Mr Hamilton or his associate Mr Dave Rogers suggesting a senior investigative officer breached the Official Secrets Act of Singapore?

It is worth noting that the individual named in the legal statement by XL Results Foundation has been legally gagged and legally bullied by XL Results Foundation Pte Ltd for over three years. Why would that be?

Mr Hamilton's response is classic text book behaviour towards a company whistle blower (refer wikipedia - Whistle Blower).

Doing a legal check in Singapore, Mr Hamilton has not commenced any defamation suit against anyone, anywhere.

The same background checks show Mr Hamilton and his accomplices have been accused of criminal activity.

I will personally Federal Express this documentation to the Editor of Rip Off Website if they ask me.

Fact:

Individuals in the Singapore Asia Pacific community sought a refund from the company for two years, were unsuccessful and joined as a concerted effort to put pressure on the company with the support of a community activist who co-ordinated the petition. This public protest was featured in the Straits Times Newspaper, Singapore (article posted on your blog)

Copy of the community petition: (((link redacted)))

In the past six months XL Results Foundation has been featured negatively in several newspapers including: The Straits Times - Singapore (23/10/06 & 25/11/06), The Today Newspaper - Singapore and The Courier Mail - Australia (24/02/07). Duped members of the Singapore community have also spoken out against the company on English and Chinese Radio Stations in Singapore including Radio 93.8. (To view these articles refer to website: (((link redacted)))

The most recent article appeared in the online edition of the Brisbane Times in Australia (May 30, 2007) under the caption Suspect wealth creation network in Brisbane refer to the link below for full details.

Mr Hamilton is attempting to bully anyone who stands up to him and his dishonest business. Mr Hamilton would be very scared of this consumer platform. It is clear a paper trail is being created that is about to uncover a massive global scam duping thousands of hard working and honest individuals of their money.

Response to Report Regarding XL Results Foundation and XL Results Foundation Pte Ltd

AUTHOR: Xl Results Foundation - (Singapore)

POSTED: Friday, October 05, 2007

Dear Reader,

The above is an unfortunate blog posted by an anonymous person i.e. they have no substance to their allegations and therefore remain anonymous.

It is unfortunate that your precious time is being wasted by such nonsense.

For a while now, as XL and Life Membership has grown, activity on the anonymous blog front has increased too. It is very sad that someone would want to do this.

For transparency purposes we have created a factual website that gives an overview of the various incidents relating to the inaccurate, spurious, and/or false allegations contained in the above blog.

In addition, the website will also give you some information/updates on a legal case that XL is currently involved in with one of its ex-staff. You can view this at www.xlresultsfoundation-legal-file.com

Journalists themselves are also concerned by the spam e-mails, which often misrepresent them and their publication - so much so that the XL Head Office has prepared a media advisory and is working with journalists to ensure that they are aware that their name is being sent out in spam e-mails without their approval: You can view this at www.resultsfoundation.com/mediaadvisory1/ and also understand more about how XL partners with the media.

This response blog has been posted to you in the hope that you can gain some clarity in respect of the various spurious, inaccurate and/or false allegations contained in the anonymous blog

Best,
XL Results Foundation
