We chose to have a memorial for my dad at his home because after paying the funeral home $1800 we had little money left. These people kept the flag the military sent him, did not print the pamplets for the obituary and did not even put it on their website! Wanted all their money up front on the spot and then just forgot all about us.
After Creamation they sent the remains out of state and made copies of the death certificate. This is All they did. Never once were we offered any other services. When we wrapped our heads around the process and called them on it, well then they offered to do all kinds of things to help us. Then did none of it!
My brother nicknamed them the "Do Nothing" Funeral Home. And that certainly sums it up!
