I purchased a convertible car from Rolling Hills Auto Plaza in St Josephs, MO via eBay. After receiving a conformation email and phone call from the sales department from the company, I made my deposit and made arrangements to wire transfer the remaining due funds. Rolling Hills then recanted on the contract and offered to sell me the vehicle for an additional $2000. My intentions are to honor the original contract. I have all documentation, available and can show this story to be fact. Any help or proliferation of information is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

When a car dealership "recants on a deal" as you put it, It is very simple, the bank that they submitted the car deal to would not "buy" the contract as the both of you signed, submitted it. In the off hours of a dealership they will submit car deals, but in all of the fine print on all of those forums it will say "Subject to final approoval from lender" In my experience any one complaining about recontracting or needing more money down has very shakey credit.
