Yes, you are correct!  Ron and Elda Sparaga are nothing but low life scum bags who will cheat, lie, deceive and steal from just about anyone!  

Ron scribbled some lines on a piece of paper and scammed me out of $300 per "drawing".  Instead of stating on paper or in writing that he would charge $300 per piece of crap, he instead stole the money by deducting it from my deposit.

You see, Ron and Elda are career criminals....they operate this scam time and time again.   These "drawings" are useless!!!  They are not drawn to scale, have no depth, no detail, are not representative of what we require, and in fact, make no sense at all.   The best I could do with them is wipe my ***.  Now that is expensive TP.

These people are nothing more than bandits.   They should just come to your house with some fish net stockings over their heads.  This way, you really will know what you are getting!

Yes, these two clowns live like gypsy's. They constantly change there address to avoid or hide, themselves because of amount of money they have siphoned from hard working people. Ron does NOT have a contractors license or architectural license. Yet claims to charge $300 per hr, to scribble on a paper and call them drawings. When caught, he states proper drawings would be made. My advice, get other victims of this swine, and you will see he is full of hot air. Its sad that these two clowns get away with being crooks.

We contacted Ron and Elda Sparaga to help us with some home renovations in particular, to help us renovate our master bathroom to make it accessible as I have multiple sclerosis and we need an accessible shower, vanity, toilet and door opening.
 
Ron and Elda are close family friends, being close friends with my parents for 50 years.
 
Because of this relationship, we asked for them to help us.  They were very pleased to help us out and gave us some ideas.  We also discussed upgrading our kitchen and some other renovations.
 
We paid then a $12,000 deposit for the bathroom and a portion towards the kitchen.  The deposit towards the bathroom was paid in full as it was the most important job to do first.Ron told my wife that the kitchen was ordered and that a $10,000 deposit was paid to Marvin Kitchens. 
 
Ron also had a contractor come by and look at our bathroom in order to give us a quote.  Three days later, the contractor called me and said he felt sad for my health issues and that he would not be able to help us with the renovations as he had done work in the past with Ron and Elda, and that he was never paid for his work. 
 
At this point, our deposit was cashed and my wife and I felt very nervous.  My wife then called the kitchen company and inquired about the deposit.  The kitchen company had never received a deposit.  My wife then asked if they knew Ron Sparaga and they mentioned they did but would not due business with him as he owed them money as well. My wife and I then confronted both Ron and Elda about the contractor and the kitchen company. 
 
At first they denied anything but then Ron said he used the money instead for personal reasons. My wife and I decided not to continue as it was Ron who said that if the trust was broken, we should not continue with the project.  My wife and I agreed.
 
Ron did have an electrician come in and install some pot lights in our bathroom and kitchen as he said the lights should all be done at the same time.

                                Yes, electrical work was done, however, it was not completed.  At least 25 holes remain in my ceilings and walls.  The dimmer switches were never installed.  There was damage to the ceilings in both my family room and living room from water leaks. 
                                I suspect this was the result of the electrician drilling into my ceiling right beside the main drainage pipes in my home. 
                                Second, the charges for the electrical work were double what was quoted. 
                                Third, 4 additional pot lights were installed (and over billed), without my approval.  Contract stated 9 pot lights in kitchen, 13 were installed.
                                The drawings and plans were nothing more than pencil sketches.  They lack in all detail, dimenion, depth, quality and professionalism and are completely useless to us.  In fact, they do not even make sense! 
                                For this, I was charged $2,500 plus 7 hours of "Ron's time" billed at $300 per hour.  Total amount billed for these sketches:  $4,600  WOW! (Plus HST).
                                I was also charged 4 hours at $300 per hour, (plus HST) from Ron to bring in his "trades" to bid on the jobs.  The first contractor Victor, refused to do any job with Ron as Victor was owed money from past jobs.
                                The second contractor Al was not even supposed to show up but did.  Al later mentioned that he was never paid from my deposit to Ron, even though Ron told my wife he was, along with the $10,000 deposit towards the kitchen, which again was never forwarded to the Kitchen cabinet company.
                                The third contractor Brad was "shaken down" by Ron for more money. I guess you could call this a "kick back".
                                The fourth was the electrician.  Why am I being charged $1,200 for these trades in the first place.  For Ron's time?
                                This entire situation is absurd!  Everything I have stated here can be substantiated.  Am I able to send documentation.

                                On Nov. 30th,2011 we entered into a contract with Mr. and Mrs. Starr, to renovate their kitchen, and in March to renovate their master bathroom. They gave us a deposit of $12,000.00.
                                At that time they urged us to install the lighting in the kitchen. We were also asked to install 2 exhaust fans in 2 bathrooms, a ceiling fan in there sons room, and an overhead fixture in their nannies room.
                                After speaking further it was decided that more lighting was necessary in their kitchen. These extra lights were recorded in a separate file for additions and deletions to the original contract. We also installed 4 pot lights in their family room. Not on the original contract.
                                Any holes made by the electrician in order to supply electrical to the lights would be fixed during the time of the kitchen renovation when we would be doing drywall work.
                                At the same time we were acommodating them with a separate trade to renovate 2 other bathrooms in their home.
                                They had been waiting for 6 months for someone else to do this work. They did hire one of the people whose name we had given to them. He was of course the cheapest price. They proceeded on their own with him, this had nothing to do with our contract.
                                All of this work happened in less than a week of our agreement. After that we proceeded to have door samples made for them. We brought them floor tiles and back splash tiles. We brought them quartz samples for them to choose from.
                                We paid for the door samples to be made. We were doing this with the intent of completing this contract.
                                On December 20th, they decided to cancel the contract for both the kitchen and the master bathroom.
                                I have also been informed by our sub trade that they contacted him to see if he would renovate their master bathroom and they would deal directly with him. He declined their request and later informed us of their call. The gentleman's name is Al. Al was to start their bathroom on March first, on or about. When we offered him his deposit he told us to give it to him around the middle of Feb.
                                During our initial meetings with them we offered all electrical work would be done at our cost in consideration of the work to take place.
                                We also offered them a 40% discount on all tile purchases which is our discount from our supplier.
                                After completing the electrical work for them, fielding workers for them, offering discounts to them, they cancelled the contract with us and wanted a full refund, and told us not to pay the electrician for his work.
                                They had a problem with him. They claim he cause water damage in 2 rooms of their home. They also claim he cracked a fixture which they were throwing in the garbage.
                                The ceilings in question were to be painted during the renovation. When we cost out a contract, we do not specify the cost of our drawings, or our time.
                                The people we called in to subcontract their 2 bathrooms, we did as a courtesy. So now, they don't feel they should pay Mr. Sparaga for the endless hours of time he has put into their contract.
                                We do not feel at this time obliged to give them the electrical work at our cost.
                                We do not feel obliged to have our time wasted at no cost to them. No one works for free.
                                We have charged them for the electrical with our profit figured in to the price. We have also charged them for all of our time that they wasted.
                                Before a kitchen is ordered the client must approve the door sample of their choice, by signing the back of it. They must also sign off on the drawings, however they never allowed us to get to that point.
                                There were to be computerized drawings once they approved of the final drawings. Mrs. Starr took it upon herself to interrogate our trades and suppliers. She did not know who was building her kitchen. Up until now this was really about who said what.
                                But now things are somewhat different.She and her husband  have taken it upon themselves to harass our trades, and have gone as far as posting on 2 different sites on the internet slanderous lies for which we will see them in court for.
                                We trust we have answered this complaint.

You speak 100% truth when speaking of Ron and Elda Sparaga.  I too was scammed by them.  They stole thousands $$$$ from my family.

I too have a disability and originally asked that they help us make our bathroom accessible.  After coming to our home, they promised they would get the required trades in to start the job.  After giving them a deposit, the trades never showed.  

Instead of work, we only got red flags... from some of their previous contractors, vendors and customers.  

As it turned out, they took my money and spend it on themselves!

You mentioned Ron and Elda are wanted for fraud.  Can you give me some more information?  I may have a situation where I can prove they committed fraud against me.   The more information, the better.....thanks, Michael

Ron & Elda sparaga, operate the scam business out of #1 Rosedale road, which is a condo complex. This is located in toronto, ontario. They have ripped of many people, customers with disabilities, elderly, also his sub contractors.Do not be fooled by Rons appearance, who claims he suffers from heart ailments. His "schtik" is to avoid phonecalls, and claim he is in hospital. He is also, brother of Howard Sparaga, who is also a shaddy businessman, who operates a fireplace shop. Ron & Elda Sparaga, is an example of what scum is. Elda looks like an $4 floozy with lipstick slapped on like a clown & Ron is the good for nothing pimp. He has a habbit of sending his wife to go collect money from _un-suspecting customers, while he sits in his condo, claiming he is in the hospital. He was caught numerous times by contractors & customers, in his condo while stating he hospitalized. Ron & Elda sparaga, were also let go from a large restoration company a few years back for theft. My suggestion, to anyone who encounters these two. To call your local authorities, as they are wanted for fraud.

Responding to Ron's slander report, I have proof his claim is false!  First he stole my money, he is far from reputable and is reputation is far from impeccable.

Not only did he steal my deposit, he made up false charges in order to substantiate him stealing my money.
 
A number of his contracers have contacted me personally and have told me Ron stole from them.

Ron lies about his vendors, his contractor's and lies to his customers.  

Ron, step up to the plate and prove me wrong!

And in case you don't know, his wife Elda is in on the scam as well.

I also was ripped off by this man. i did some work for him, and was promised many jobs. He had given me a deposit for the work to be done, and the balance upon completion. Well a week passes then excuses, then two weeks then no where to be found. Finally got a hold of him and told me he was ill and that he wasn't avoiding me. He sent me a cheque for the balance and bounced. Never heard from him again. Don't let him fool you. Everything bad you read here is true. He plays the nice guy so well until you turn around and thats when he stabs you in the back. Don't trust this man!!!

My family too was ripped off by Ron and his wife for several thousands of dollars.  Ron is not reputable.  Several of his own trades told me that they too were ripped off by Ron.

My money is gone.  The job is not done.  What else is there to say?  I have many, but would simply say shameful and despicable!

I am Ron's previous electrician. He had a few projects on the go at the same time.  He promised alot of work to come because of the many businessess he owned.  After completing these projects he was nowhere to be found.  He didn't answer phone calls nor return messages. He has not paid one penny and recently changed his phone numbers.  After contacting the homeowners they confirmed that he had been paid.  TRADESMEN BEWARE.

The above slanderous report that was issued in 2009 is completely false. I will state my reasoning below about this issue and try to resolve the problem.

Excalibur's association with me escalated into to a peak of emotional tirades. I had to terminate our relationship after i informed the police, he was warned to stop phoning me in the middle of the night. One day he spat at my wife and uttered profanities. Normally i would be supervising the job but in this certain occasion my wife had to supervise the it because i was being hospitalized.

I would like to clear the air by saying that i will not and have never ran off with someone's deposit. I am a reputable contractor who has expedited aprox. 2700 projects in my thirty years of being in this industry. I also have an impeccable reputation.
