This is a complaint RE:        

Route 66 English Bulldogs

6992 Long State, Hwy P,

Seymour. MO.

They sold us sick dogs, and lied to make a sale. We wanted to trust them because they claim to be professionals and we were taken advantage of.

We  purchased two dogs that are sick. This nightmare began on 3/7/2015 it has been four Weeks and we have several trips to my vet with both dogs, We have all the documentation, vet bills and X-rays to prove all my statements herein.

 Dog #1) The puppy

MANGE MITES  Treatment of two oral antibiotics twice a day, weekly medicated shampoo and a harsh chemical dip.

HIP DYSPLASIA (Severe) X-rays show this puppy has very little near no hip socket at all, and over breeding is the cause in a puppy this young.

EYE ENTROPION She doesn’t use this eye much and keeps it closed most of the time. Were treating this with serum and ointment several times daily, until we can get her scheduled into surgery hopefully this next week, so she doesn’t lose her eye sight.

EYE STY,  with treatment, yet another sty has began to form.

NO CHIP  Our vets wand did not detect any chip in the dog.

 Dog #2)

 BAD INSISSION INFECTION  This infection was so bad the vet needed to keep her a week to clear up the infection scrubbing daily and bandaging, keep the dog calm and to re-suture her C-section again. We did not know she had a C-section and been spayed a day or two prior to us making the near 600 mile trip to pick her up. We are treating her with oral antibiotics and her new suture stitches are still in therefore she still has not had

a bath but she smells much better now that the infection is gone. Prior to the trip Alicia sent me E-mail with a pictures of a very healthy dog, she neglected to point out that these are old pictures, This dog should not have been re-homed until she was healed. With the infection so extreme she would have died with out proper vet care.

NOT MUCH SOCIALISATION  This dog acted as if she had been beaten, we have been working with her. The vet said she is much better now. She still needs a crate for her security issues.

NO CHIP  Our vets wand did not detect any chip in this dog either.

They misled us about the dog’s ages. One dog Alicia Marcantel said was 5 years old, and this dog is at least 7 years old maybe as old as 8 according to my vet and two of her colleges. The second dog Alicia first said she was 4 months old, my vet said this dog is more like 8 months because of her teeth.

On their website they state their dogs are healthy, family raised in their home and well socialized. And all the dogs are AKC certified. The two English Bulldogs I purchased from this place were far from healthy, I have incurred vet bills approximately $800.00 in less than a month and are not finished yet. We were promised the AKC papers and yet they refused to give them to us.

We WARN any one who is considering purchasing bulldogs from Alicia and Larry from RT66 Bulldogs to reconsider and seek a breeder who cares about their dogs being healthy, Alicia and Larry can not be trusted.
