Runningboard Warehouse sent a kit that notes it is for 2011 Jeep Cherokee even though I ordered specifically for 2012. The mounting kit cannot be installed because the 2012 has rocker panel interference. They sell a kit for the 2012 (that will also fit the 2011) but will not exchange. They emailed me and told me that the 2011 kit will fit, they have installed 1000's of them. I will post video and photos of the issue on You-tube tomorrow.

I wrote the original post and happy to report the RunningBoard Warehouse got the right people on the problem today and completely resolved.
Happy Customer in Colorado.
