Not everyone has a problem  with out of stock on only 10 to 20 items out of 500. It is a website. You will learn more from Mike's training and at a fair price than anywhere on the net. You can use it to sell any Niche. If you do not however like the process that is involved in getting traffic to your site, then it is not Mikes fault.

Bob will never be satisfied with any internet site. The out of stock is an excuse. Bob will just find another excuse. Tip. Never say you cannot do something. Once you say that you're done. You will not succeed. you will only succeed after you have failed and tried another approach. Come back to the problem after a few days, when your mind is fresh.

Ask Mike for advice, get coaching. His coaching is honest and worth way more than most coaching out there. Most coaching programs charge whatever your credit cards max is. Mike's is dirt cheap and worth more. Mike cannot succeed unless you succeed. You will sell more in person than with a website.

You could do both and guarantee your success. Wow Bob is the only guy in 20 years where the company could not satisfy. BBB - A rateing says it all. Mike gives 100%.  Are you willing to do the same. I hope you find this helpful.  

I have been dealing with safety tech for about a year or so and I have no complaints. They may be patient and abrasive over the phone but many succesful people are in my expierience. When you have a solid idea you dont need to kiss people buts.

I ordered some of the products and felt the quality was very high although there are a few products under $10 items I have found for sale elsewhere that were alot cheaper.

Anytime I have had a question, I email the office and they have so far always replied promply. They teach me stuff even though I dont have a website yet, I get regualr emails regarding sales and marketing ideas and tips, theres no fees to sell their products and they can subscibe you to motivational speakers and other succesful business icons such as Dan Kennedy and Lee milteer. They help you so much that I dont blame or mind them for being impatient once in a while because Ive heard
there are many people doing this and not making money because they are not willing put in the work thats required to stand out amongst the crowd.

Personally I have made a little bit of money but I am an injured worker and so broke I cant afford the websites or anything else right now so that is the only reason I havent been hightly succesfull yet. Once I get some loot to invest in my advertising I will be independent again as common sense tells me that these products are needed by society and currently very high in demand.

Theres always gonna be cry babies as it takes all kinds to make a world but the bottom line is with the ammount of free support provided free by Safety tech, in my opinion, the sky really is the limit if your willing to invest your own money in the advertising and do the work that comes up along the way.

This company is normal, no rip offs here. but if your from Canada, dont do business with them because you'll just be 1 more distributor taking my future potential customers, so forget about it and Back off!!! just kidding, Peace.

I agree with you on basing an opinion on something, but the original poster went beyond that and brought it into a slanderous situation by outright calling Mike a con artist. Yes, you are entitled to your opinion and you do have freedom of speech, but not when it slanders someone or their business and good name. The original poster should understand that. Do you understand that from a legal point, Mike could be losing money because of his slanderous accusations. A very justified law suit potentially brewing there. If you want to post something about a business or individual and a problem you had / have with them then fine go ahead, but don't sit there and start insulting and slandering them telling other people who obviously read these posts that he is a con man. That hurts his business and reputation.

Sadly, you can not satisfy all of the people. You will always have a few people who are just bent on bringing someone down even if the mistakes or bad calls were their own fault to begin with.

As far as the rest of my post to the original poster, I am doing exactly what you are defending the poster in doing. So why is it right for him to express his opinion and not me. Just because you may agree with one persons opinion does not make someone else wrong or makes them a target of a hypocritical rebuttal.

I only have one thing I'd like to comment on to the writer of "Are you serious". That is whether the guy posting the negative comments is correct or incorrect in your opinion, doesn't mean he should not be allowed to express his opinion--even if he's angry when he does so. Freedom of speech and expression are some of the greatest things we have in this country.

So what if you don't agree? So what if he says something derrogatory? The readers should be allowed to make up their own minds. And I, for one am glad there is a fair-to-all place to do that.

I got involved with Safety Technology many years ago when they first started before Mike got into selling websites, etc. Unfortunately I did not stick with it so I left my distribution partnership. However, I just came back about a week ago and must say that safety technology has grown since. I remember having a problem with my first sale several years ago and I believe I dealt with an employee named Laura (Not 100% sure if I remember that right). Anyhow Laura back then was very helpful and went above and beyond to help me on a customer return. Why I did not stay with that company is beyond anything I can think of.

Now every company runs out of stock, the only difference is on the internet or in catalogs the items are placed on backorder, and judging by your list posted above, that is not an unreasonable backorder. Most of them are only a few days or week backorder with the exception of a few products which were like a month.

I think people who post these slanderous and bogus reports should be held accountable and be liable for law suits since they are slandering a company. By outright calling Mike a con man is slandering his good name and in most if not all states you could be sued. Rip off reports needs to do a better job in weeding out these complaints and delete these bogus ones that are placed by people who obviously have no idea about the concepts of hard work and what it takes to start a business or even keep one going for that matter.
On a side note: I have not bought a website through Mike and his company. I am doing it myself, I only utilize him as my supplier, however I do take advantage of the marketing materials and calls. I even have some ideas of my own which would help distributors big time but I know that by sharing those ideas I create my own competition.

As far as using the example that he has way to many distributors, well how many companies sell Coca Cola products or that brand of hamburger or milk you consume? Case in point.

In stead of blaming Mike and his company for your obvious failings as an entrepreneur (Spelling), why don't you do some research and reapply yourself and how your going about conducting business. I can tell you from a consumer point of view I would never do business with you anyhow just by your attitude. You say Mike is arrogant and rude, well it is more rude and arrogant to come on a website and slander someone. So I guess you are a hypocrit as well.

My final suggestions to you:

1.) Grow up
2.) Get educated - If you can't goto college, google is a great classroom.
3.) Invest in marketing
4.) Find a niche.
5.) If it fails, try and try again. (Didn't anyone ever tell you that?)

Well off to work on my business which I know will be successful just because of who I am.

This is bull sh*t!!!!!!

A couple of months ago I saw an ad for Safety Technology in a business opportunity magazine. They are a wholesaler of self defense products and you can buy from them and sell anyway you want to. There was no fee to get started with them. I do flea markets and thought their products would be a good addition to what I'm already selling.

My husband told me to check them out before I got into business with them. I'm in California and they are in Florida. Can't really drive over and say hi. So, I checked the Better Business Bureau where they are located. I received a very good report for them. They had been a member of the BBB for over 14 years and had a handful of complaints which were all resolved.

I told my husband and he said he heard of a site on line called the Ripoff Report. So, I came to this site and found several negative reports. Nobody seemed to be ripped offed, they were mostly complaining about the owner, Michael Gravette.

Since the only cost to get started was the $5.00 for their color catalogs and wholesale prices, I went ahead and sent the $5.00.

I found their prices to be very competitive. I had also requested info from a couple of other companies selling similar products. But, because of these negative reports, I only placed a very small order with Safety Technology to see what would happen. I received what I ordered in about a week. That seems to be the time it takes to receive a UPS ground shipment from Florida to me here in California.

I put the products I had ordered out on my table at the flea market and everything sold quickly. Monday came and I placed another order, a larger order and I had them ship it a faster way because I wanted it before the weekend. It arrived and I sold everything I ordered.

A couple months later and I'm placing orders with them every week.

The only experience I've had with the owner, Michael Gravette, was on a monthly free question and answer call he does for his distributors. The call lasted about 2 hours and he was knowledgeable about marketing, patient with his callers and you could tell he really cared if you were successful or not.

When I look at the negative reports now, I see that they were all submitted by the same person, except for one, a KC. He puts down different cities, but I can tell its the same guy. I assume Michael Gravette did something he didn't like and now he seems to be coming back every so often and placing a negative report. Some people need to grow up.

Even though these negative reports almost kept me from buying from Safety Technology, I'm very glad they didn't. I would recommend this company to anyone.

I have been a distributor of Safety Technologies for a year. I bought a website and it was exactly as advertised. The company actually over delivers with clear marketing tips concise instructions and great support too. But it's a business folks and you have to do the work. That works is again, clearly spelled out when the website is set up. And it's a very good website.

Granted there were some serious out of stock issues for a few months and that hurt business but it seems this issue is at least manageable now. I know one thing, when I do order a drop ship every order went out that same day! Also, the customer service work ticket system is fast.

Mike's personality can be abrasive and I certainly don't agree with his politics but what in the world does that have to do with my business? I couldn't care less about his politics--help me sell this stuff, and he does. As far as the business is concerned he cuts through the bull and tells it like it is using his actual real life experience.


Self Defense Products are hugely competitive. But what isn't on the internet? Google anything and you'll see thousands of web pages for that product. He stresses to find your niche.

Anyway my real point is, you have to work a business to succeed. Find a way, innovate, experiment. These products actually sell better in person than the internet.

I noticed that a guy named Bob who lives in Jupiter and says he's an employee of Safety Technology, thinks Michael Gravette is so unfair. Interesting since Jupiter is 250 miles from Jacksonville where Safety Technology is located. And there are no employees named Bob.

I thought this was suppose to be the Rip Off report. Not one of the negative things said has anything to do with being ripped off. Bunch of people still back in the 7th grade passing notes.

I guess Safety Technology has finally reached the level where the competition has to try any means. I love how the fake employee said that Michael Gravette is not fair to his customers. What the hell does that mean? And if he is so unfair, why do they continue to buy from him. Why does Safety Technology continue to be the largest dropship wholesaler of self defense products, hidden cameras, and surveillance systems in the country?

I've been working for Safety Technology for several years now and I have never worked for such an ethical company. Michael Gravette (and no employee calls him Michael...its Mike) goes out of his way to help his distributors and we all know that service to the distributors is the most important thing.

Oh yeah, you make a mistake on a distributor's order or you're a little impatient with a distributor on the phone, you will hear about it from Mike. But, he's never unfair.

If you are someone who is thinking about buying from us, don't let the trash remarks on this site keep you from giving us a try. You won't be sorry.

I work for this guy Michael Gravette, I see and hear every day how rude he is to people on the phone and us! I wish he was not so mad all the time.

I can say that Safety Technology by far has the best customer service, great products and have very few items out of stock for the amount of items they carry. Everything that Mike said about his company is 100% true. I am thinking that this complaint is due to lack of business experience, dropshipping and perhaps business in general.

Safety Technology is the only company I have ever dealt with that offer the business support that they do. Safety Technology has great free marketing training and they go above and beyond what would be expected to make their customers successful. If you are not successful then you are likely not following their suggestions.

I really can't believe that this negative report even exists. I guess for some reason the person filing the report was expecting a get rich quick scheme that requires no work. If you purchase Safety Technology's websites you can't just expect them to work all by themselves. Running a successful website requires you to do work by marketing and changing things on the site to make it more unique. If your looking to just buy a site and sit around watching the money flow in then you may want to rethink the way online business works.

The sites that Safety Technology builds are great and well worth the investment. I currently have 2 of their websites (www.selfdefenseplace.com and www.secuitycamplace.com) and I am completely happy with every aspect of the site. If you want something changed you can give them a call and they will take care of it.

I rate Safety Technology 5 Stars and wish more companies were half as good as this one is.

Safety Technology has great free marketing training and they go above and beyond what would be expected to make their customers successful. If you are not successful then you are likely not following their suggestions.

I really can't believe that this negative report even exists. I guess for some reason the person filing the report was expecting a get rich quick scheme that requires no work. If you purchase Safety Technology's websites you can't just expect them to work all by themselves. Running a successful website requires you to do work by marketing and changing things on the site to make it more unique. If your looking to just buy a site and sit around watching the money flow in then you may want to rethink the way online business works.

The sites that Safety Technology builds are great and well worth the investment. I currently have 2 of their websites (www.selfdefenseplace.com and www.secuitycamplace.com) and I am completely happy with every aspect of the site. If you want something changed you can give them a call and they will take care of it.

I rate Safety Technology 5 Stars and wish more companies were half as good as this one is.

I was actually thinking of becoming a distributor. I've found no other bad press - how long did you work with them? I wondered if they were given a fair shot, or if this is truly the way they operate. Any enlightenment is welcome.

Safety Technology is a wholesaler. We don't make money unless our distributors make money. Our company has grown every year for the past 20 years because our distributors are increasingly successful in selling our products making us more money. If our distributors were not making money, we would not be in business because there is no fee to do business with us.

We have over 500 items in our catalogs. At any time, we may be out of stock for 10-15 items. No one hates being out of stock more than I do but sometimes it just can't be helped.

If anything is worth selling on the Internet, you will find many websites selling it. However, we teach our distributors who sell on the Internet how to move past the competition. I conduct two coaching calls every month for distributors who had us build websites for them. On these calls I teach and answer any questions they may have about marketing.

We have many successful distributors doing very well. But, not everyone is going to experience the same amount of success because that's just human nature. Why is it that you can give the same instruction and help to two different people and one will be successful and the other not? The problem is with the individual. As far as me being rude, I have to admit I don't have a lot of patience for people who sit on their butts and expect to make money. I help anyone who asks for help but there has to be some sort of accountability. Its not enough to just put up a website, you have to generate traffic to that website and convert that traffic to sales. That takes work. We teach our distributors how to do it, but they need to do the work.

Rip Off Report does a good service. But, in this case, they let a person who was not ripped off post negative comments about a legitimate company that has never ripped off anyone. In this case, Rip Off Report is a forum for a person who obviously did not like something I said to him. In this case, Rip Off Report is being used to personally attack me and my company. I don't believe this was the intended purpose for the Rip Off Report.
