I bought a refrigerator from Best Buy on 4/05/09 for $2379.99. The refrigerator never made enough ice to keep up with just two people in the house. I called Best Buy and they sent a technician out on 6/06/2009, who removed an o ring from the water filter. This did nothing but make the water taste bad, and still no ice. So I called Samsung, who sent an authorized service representative out on 6/10/2009. He ordered a new Ice Maker unit and replaced the old unit with it approximately a week later. The Ice Maker still doesn't work enough to keep two people in ice. I called Samsung again, and they said they would authorize an exchange with Best Buy, since this fridge would not likely ever be any better if replacing the unit didn't help, and I should hear from Best Buy in about 3 days. Since that time I have called Best Buy numerous times and was told they hadn't heard anything from Samsung, and couldn't exchange the refrigerator until they got an authorization from them. Since that time I have called Samsung on 8/3, 8/11, 8/12, 8/21, 8/28, 9/03, 9/09, 9/18, 9/24, and 9/29/2009, and have got nothing but a run around each time. Today I was asked to fax a copy of the receipt to them because they couldn't find my case. I had already faxed them a copy of the receipt on 8/11/09. At this point I feel like I am being ignored. It is very wrong to buy what I was led to believe was the best refrigerator on the floor, certainly the more expensive, and have to go to my old refrigerator out in the garage to get Ice. Best Buy tells me they can't call Samsung on my behalf, but if I would have bought the extended warrenty they would be able to help.  If the can't honor the warrenty on a refrigerator that didn't work from day one, what good would an extended warrenty do?  From some of the reports I've seen on this web site, Best Buy's extended warrenty, and Geek Squad are just one more way to get Ripped Off!
