I contacted Sara Saleet and arranged to have a Beauty Party. I scheduled a huge facial party for 18 people with food and refreshments and Sara never showed! When I complained to Tammy Taylor the area director, she blamed me for not reading the agreement more carefully.

This is not the only one...

Sadly, while looking at other posts, I found one where this person tried to do the same hurtful thing to a person named Jamie McDaniel. Unfortunately, she has not seen/responded to the horrible report made about her. The posts are nearly identical but with a different "poster".
Things like this make me wonder what has happened to the morality of our country...trying to hurt someone for no reason at all. If this person would follow the principals and values that Mary Kay teaches they could really learn a lot!

Hello to everyone who is reading this false information that was posted about me. Sara Saleet, as well as Tammy Taylor. Just wanted to give everyone an update. I feel I have waited ample time to allow this fake customer, Stephanie to come forward and call me about the HUGE facial party that I did not show for.....as you can read earlier I told her to call me and I would make things right (even though this NEVER happened) and that I would give her A LOT of free Mary Kay product. Well as most of the smart readers on this site can imagine, guess what.....I have yet to get a call! Hummmmm I rest my case. All I have to say about this matter is be careful no matter who you deal with, but as far as I am concerned Mary Kay is a great company and stories like this are just not true 99% of the time, do they ever happen, maybe, but Mary Kay Consultants are independent workers and blessed to have the business. Take stories like this lightly most are simply sabotage!

Mary Kay not a scam

I have been a Mary Kay independent beauty consultant for approximately 1 year. I can't imagine anybody scheduling a party of this size and not showing up - the only possible explanation would be if she had an accident or something happened where she was unavoidably detained and not able to contact the customer before the party started. I have no idea what Agreement she is talking about either.
Mary Kay products are high quality and very competively priced. The consultants are trained to conduct their business according to the Golden Rule - and the priorities are God first, family second, and career third. There is never to be any high pressure to sell or recruit but that is sometimes what happens when consultants get desperate to sell product or build a team - it is not what the Company promotes, nor do I.
You do not have to go to a party to purchase Mary Kay products. They can be purchased online from any Mary Kay website.
Unfortunately, a Company can be judged by its weakest link - don't judge the whole Company or its products by negative posts. Try them for yourself - you are your own best judge. Thank you for thinking positive about a positive Company.

Sara is telling the truth

This is in reguards to the report and rebuttal from Stephanie and Sara on this matter. I want everyone to know that what Sara said is all true. I am a mary kay consultant as well and love it. If I knew that one of my customers was agreeing to have a girls night out with 18 other women ( which is rare to find with that many women ) I would have also broke down the door to get in. When a cust agrees to hold a skin care class or girls night out there is never any type of agreement put into affect, it is purely at the discretion of the hostess and can at any time cancell the event, even up to the last minute.
Also the day befor the class the consultant will call the hostess to reverify the event is still going to happen so should there be any reason that the consultant had to cancell then the hostess would know.
Also, on the statement that stephanie said the director told her... There is no way any currant Mary Kay consultant or director ( especially a director ) would tell a customer that it was her fault! For anything. Mary Kay is not in the business to make women feel like they failed at anything. If this were true then Mary kay would be out of business! Mary kay strives to make women feel confident and enriched and would never treat this women the way she said she was treated.
I encourage Miss stephanie to agree to put some fact behind her story with a conferance call to miss Sara in the event that this story could somehow be true. Otherwise I agree with sara that stephanie's report should be rovoked from the site due to the fact that she is not filing an accurate report.
This site is to protect and educate the consumer from making a purchase from any business that could be a detrimental mistake to their finances and future, not a place to play jokes or just take out regression because of maybe personal reasons. This seems to be the case in this instance for stephanie's experience.
I encourage all women to do their research in finding out who Mary Kay is and what the business stands for.. She has nothing to hide, but infact continues to be the number one product and consumer choice for several years running.

In Home Parties

I used to buy from Mary Kay My mother even sold it for years. I have noticed that alot of their 'consultants' are either way to pushy with the way things go in your home or they just don't show.
If you want a "beauty party" My partner and I work with Beauti Control. It's spa products and make up. I haven't had one person complain of not having a great time. If you still want one here is my website.
Have a great day!

Incorrect Information

Hello, I am the person that this "consumer" is referring to. I just wanted to let you know that I think you have a very interesting site that could have the potential to help a lot of consumer victims provided the information is posted correctly and honestly. In this case it was not.
First, I do not know who Stephanie is. My customer base is not big in Gastonia and does not include a Stephanie. Also, at the time I was a MK Director and she would not have had a reason to contact my Director, she would have called the company direct for complaints. Futher more it is not in my practice to tell someone to prepare food.
I always encourage my hostesses to keep it cheap and simple. I would not want them to spend money on food since the whole point of hosting a party is to "EARN FREE PRODUCT" not to blow it on eating. I also would never call my parties a "beauty party". boring!
Now last but not least this is a jealous person that probably did not get her MK business off to a great start. This last bit of information should prove to you that this person is jealous and really should not be allowed to post on your site any longer. Though she did get my name and phone number correct, she totally messed up the address.
Instead of using the address I would have given her on any of my identifying information such as catalogs and business cards, she obtained my name and number from the MK site, she then googled my name and used my brother-in-laws address by accident since my number is not a land line and would not produce an address when googled.
It took me a minute to remember who the address belonged to, but yes it is my brother-in-law, not mine, his wife works with Gaston County Police Dept. and would be more than happy to confirm this. He is in Kings Mountian, NC, not Lincolnton like the person suggested. I am not in "Lincolnton" either, as you can tell by my address.
This person does not know me, my customers ALL have my CORRECT information, especially when booking a "Girls Night Out" with 18 or more people! How AWESOME that would be, a party NOT to be MISSED!
And finally, I would like to add that if this person is willing to confirm the allegations with your company and your company is willing to call me three-way with the consumer, and proceed to have her confirm the allegations with me on the phone, I will be more than happy to compensate this consumer with a large amount of Mary Kay product. FREE! I will need to confirm that this is Stephanie though and not someone of another nature.
Bottom line is that this lady has no right to post such false information on a site such as yours. As a former MK Director, I would have knocked down the door to get to 18 women and a hostess especially at Christmas time which appears to be the time it was posted. I would ask that your company please remove this false allegation.
Please do not give this MK failure an opportunity to slander my name or anyone else's. And remember, I am here to let you know that I am more than willing to "make things right" when this PERSON can be a woman of her word and confront me.
Should you need additional information please call me, you have the number. If no other information is needed, I would ask that you please remove this false information from your site, ASAP. And to build a reputable web-site I would encourage you to block this consumer from adding anymore hurtful and misleading comments such as the one posted.
Oh and one more thing. just noticed that she stated that she called my director and Tammy stated that it was her fault and she should have read the agreement. we do not do agreements for parties. The only "agreement" you ever sign is when you start your own Mk business. That piece of paperwork is a signed contract between you and Mk, not you and the person conducting your party! Just another slip up from this untruthful person!
Sincerely,
Sara
