Common sense should've kicked in when he asked you to visit his hotel. Sounds like a booty call with commissions. Most of these top earners love renting out hotels for meetings. Me and my business partners, telling the truth about morons in the business, has caused lots of them to fall in status. Prepaid Legal isn't a law firm. They're the middle men between business people and Attorneys.

You were right to leave. If you felt mislead then that's the other guys problem. Most business opportunities are full of scum.

There are some nasty associates in Ft Lauderdale FL. Me and my business partner which are associates of PPL were at the Swap Shop selling memberships when all of a sudden other associates surrounded us like the mob and started harassing us like it's their territory. Many people who had memberships shared some horrible stories about other associates while me and my friend spent lots of time apologizing for other associates negligence. I'm telling the honest truth when I tell you some nasty lady from the Island with her ugly colorful dress walked up to me and my friend with a nasty look on her face and snatched one of our brochures from our table like we were dogs then walked off with her PPL group. They're mad because me and my friend were offering One-Hundred Dollar Cash Visa Cards for every Five People that Purchased the service. They're mad because we have the best referral system in PPL and felt like we would run them out of business. As long as associates like them continue lying to people about PPL services. I guarantee we will run them out of business and take over. If anyone know who these pricks are please call me. I'm sure some other city, states are having the same problems with lying associates and bullies. Please call me if you're in the same situation as us. (((ROR redacted))).

I totally agree. I'm a current ppl associate just started marketing in ft lauderdale fl and there's so many unhappy members over there. Me and my business partner was over there marketing the business and all of a sudden nasty associates from another group started harassing us for telling people the truth and marketing ppl the correct way. I tell people to treat this business just like any job. If it's going to take 30 yrs to retire from your regular job maybe the same with this ppl opportunity. But atleast you can retire twice. I think ppl should fire all associates who make promises. A lie is a lie. I'm not interested in signing people up for business opportunities and I, unlike the rest, offer the best referral system to help people with their financial life. This is how I've been able to slow down charge backs almost completely. Business opportunities suck in bad economies so that's why me and my business partner only sell memberships only. We tell future clients that they're not guaranteed to win all cases but will increase their chances of winning by having an attorney. Truth 1. You will never get paid your residuals. All residuals go to your debit balance not to you.
It is theoretically possible that after you die your residuals will pay down your debit balance and your family may get them but your chances are slim to none. You will find this out after about a year in the business
when you don't receive your residuals. Also if you do not have your associate agreement and estate set
up properly the company keeps them; they do not automatically go to your spouse.

Truth 2. The company retention is 50% or less the first year. The weekly briefing is where they typically overstate this number at 70 or 80 percent to mislead you.
If you do some research they have to disclose it because they are a publicly traded company. Persistency
is a made up number by PPL. They like to quote it because they can manipulate it with the pre-cancels etc.

Truth 3. Chargebacks will kill you. Chargebacks will kill off over 97-99% of the associates that enter your business. They never talk about chargebacks until you find out when you don't get paid on business. Downline chargebacks lead to ruin.

Truth 4. There are more X-Ring Earners and X-Platinums then there are current Ring Earners and Platinums.
This is because after they hit this level chargebacks eat up there income cutting their incomes by typically half. It is rare that they survive this.

Truth 5. All the biggies have a special deal.
They can't survive number 4. That's right. Darnell Self, Brian Carruthers, Kevin Rhea, Dave Savula, etc etc etc. all have special deals.

Truth 6. Corporate does not care about you. The wishy washy 'this is your business' quote is a lie. Corporate
will hold your commissions any time they please without apology. This is cold hard business, not a big family as is portrayed.

Truth 7. The company may put you on as earned and cut your commissions at anytime for any reason.
In the associate agreement you signed you give them this right. For example they have just killed off over 220 associates without warning
based on a formula they refuse to disclose. They claim it is poor persistency but many of the victims have good persistency. This is a scheme to fudge the bottom line. The company will lose millions long term based on this short term rip off of associate's income. UPDATE - The number is now over 600 and climbing. The stock has lost 9 points since this decision.

Truth 8. The stockholders are more important then you.

Truth 9. The attorneys are more important then you.
Complaints about the attorneys rarely go anywhere. Prepaid Legal will threaten your associate agreement if you complain too much about the attorneys or lack of service.

I just got a message about this mess.. What a ignorant statement to be made! I have been working with Mr. Sean Mikael for the past 5 years and I thank him with every inch of my body for helping me and my family get out of debt, make extra income to be at home more and obtain dreams and goals that I though were way out of reach! PPL is not a get rich company, nor has Mr. Sean Mikael (he deserves respect) ever stated that, for them get go I knew it was work and working hard to play hard. He is all about self education, personal development so that we can all become better as a whole and go forward in life not two steps back!.

I have learned so much from this man. He has introduced me to books, seminars and trainings to better myself and ones around me ready for the challenge. I have grown as a person since I have meet Mr. Sean Mikael. He has given me a voice I never knew I had. I come from a different Country, English is my second language and I was never able to complete College. Yet under the guidance of Mr. Sean Mikael I am able to put a suit on, attend business meetings with pride and glory and build a life I never knew I was able to.


I hope that people who read this read past the ignorant comments and see it for what it is... Like the others have posted a shameful attempt to bring this man down..

I currently am an Associate with Pre- Paid legal. I googled the company today and stumbled on this claim.

OUTRAGEOUS! Full of no facts what so ever. Is Doctor44 trying to say that he or she attended an event without proper information? Then shame on him for not getting the name of the company that he was attending to hear about. And I find it impossible to have Mr. Mikael leave that out. When I am invited to any meeting or event I make sure to find out information on my own as well. Is Doctor44 really that dumb? No I think it is clearly a sad attempt to smear Mr. Mikael.

I attend these weekly meetings that Doctor44 refers to in the Los Angeles area and never once have I seen security at the door rushing people in. People attend to gain more information about the company and receive a full over view. Grown educated people can make an educated choice if it is or not for them. These meetings are very professional and are often packed with over a hundred people. I myself and not working directly with Mr. Mikael, but he does put on many of the events that I and fellow Associates attend. I have even attended many trainings with Mr. Mikael as the speaker and NEVER once has he ever trained to be miss leading, we have material that does the talking removing us from any possibility to miss lead. Mr. Mikael is one of the most professional and a truthful persons I know and full of integrity and class. The reason I joined Pre Paid Legal was the approach was classy and the introduction to the company just made sense. The way I was introduced is the exact way Mr. Mikael and others train at meetings. In fact my first event that I attended was put on by Mr. Mikael.

Even though Pre Paid Legal is a home based business; just like in any corporate setting there are Associates that get envious of others successes. It sounds to me from the title of the report that this is the case. To use the words scam artist is such a joke. Very ignorant.

I have been contacted many times after posting a resume by companies like Mary Kay, Monavie, Pampered Chef etc.. all inviting me out to events saying the same thing over and over. Never once have I remembered the persons name that introduced me to it or felt the need to blast their name. its very clear that Doctor44 had another agenda by posting this report. Smart people can see through these negative postings.

It is very hard to believe that an educated person listed as Doctor44 in this day and age would show up at a meeting be forced into a room by security and then feel the need to call a person an scam artist. Very Funny and Very Not TRUE. I have learned though all of my years in business, that a person only says such slanderous things about another person ONLY if they have something to gain, otherwise its called a life and Doctor44 needs to get one.

I have had many of my friends and family members talk to Sean and not at anytime have they been miss lead or lied to. Not Exactly, Although we're not too suprised to see this here- My husband & I used to work under him and saw many "white lies" that made me and my family uncomfortable. He kept making all these fantastic income claims of $30,000 every month, and how he and his fiance purchased this amazing home- but when we went there it was just a nice apartment like we had. We realized that we would rather make a decent, honest living, then a supposed six-figure income tarnished by lies and deceit.

I worked with Prepaid Legal and just because Sean made a guarenteed income promise doesnt mean the company is a scam. Many people made guarentees when I was working with the company and most choose to leave becuase of all the promises unfullfilled, but the company is legit.
Alot of independant associates with the company tell potential recruits they can make a definite amount of income, even though they might not yet, but its so they can believe its possible. If he told you it was a identity theft company then misleading isnt the same as lying. Network Marketing is like that- a lot of empty promises- but they have to be legit to stay in business.

I am no longer working with Prepaid Legal, but I must say that Doctor44 obviously doesn't really know what he is talking about. First off, Sean Mikael is an independent associate with the company, who is actually a very honest, nice person. He gives a lot to people, and by no means is a "scam artist." I think it is pretty silly that a person who went out to a home based business opportunity meeting, got angry and called it a scam. Its the typical thing that people do. I worked with the company, used the membership, and worked directly with Sean Mikael. I had to leave the company because of location reasons (I relocated to Germany to work with a Biotechnology Company). By the way - everyone here has a legal plan. I had a good experience with the company, as well as Sean Mikael. Just because you did not agree with the marketing structure, and the way it works, - which is totally ok - does not mean you need to get ticked off and try to deface the name of an independent person that was simply running the meeting.

All in all these are all opinions granted, but don't be silly and try to defame someone's name just because after you came out to a meeting, you decided that it was a waste of your time, came home, and typed up an angry rant!
