My husband saw an add on the internet for seattle coffee direct, 2 mugs, 2cups, and 2 12oz bags of coffee for $25 so he purchased it just after christmas and scheduled it to come and be withdrawn out of our account just before my birthday, which is in mid march.

They withdrew the $25 dollars immediately and we received the package about a week later. (He also purchased this on a website you had to take a survey to get the deal, it said nothing about joining a club and being sent more coffee at a rediculous price) A week later we received 2 more 12oz bags, a week later another 2. He told me he never ordered them so I checked my account and sure enough they withdrew more money each time.

It was actually an insane amount of money! $38 and some odd cents each time which included $6.95 for shipping each bag of coffee. Which was really weird because 2 bags came in one envelope and I am pretty sure when you ship something they go by weight and i know 1 envelope with 2 12oz bags of coffe does not equal almost a $14 shipping charge.

So of course he called the company who then told us to send the coffee back ( we did immediately at our expense) and we would receive a refund for the almost $79 we were charged for 3lbs of coffee!!!!

13 days went by and no money was returned so I called and explained what happened... the employee proceeded to tell me that it takes at least 14 to 20 days to ship back... and i told him that would be true if I didn't priority ship them to you and I will call the post office and find out where they are cause as anyone who has been to the post office knows that priority shipping is no more than 3-4 days.

So he checked to see if they had received them and what do you know they had... so he then told me that he would refer this to a manager and we would see the money in 72 hours.

1 week later no money so I called back and talked to a manager who then told me that they had computer problems for the past week and they would put the money in my account within 72 hours .

I can't believe that company's actually get away with treating people like this!!! They had no problem taking my money as quick as they could AND they got their coffee back!! They didn't even offer to pay me to ship it back to them for all the trouble. And another thing who, in their right mind, would pay $79 for 3lbs of coffee!!! That's rediculous. I would also like to know who they ship it through because to send 4 bags of 12oz coffee back, it cost us less than $10 and they charged me almost $28!

If you are reading this please just buy your coffee at the store, even gas won't cost you $6.95 a bag to get there!
