My company was doing well in 2008, I ordered the security system and 7 months later I've been cut work hours from 40 hours down to 24 hours. I called ADT to cancel my order and explained my situation that my paycheck was being cut back so now I get a letter from a collection agency with no notice from ADT to pay back $2,600.00 because I forfeited the 36 months contract. With my 24 hours a week paycheck there is no way I can pay that. I call this a way for them to make money in times when people can't afford the monthly monitor fees.

keyword... CONTRACT... if you buy a car. and you no longer can afford it.. you are still going to owe what you did when you signed the CONTRACT. its no ones fault but your own!

My company was do well in 2008 when I ordered the security systems, 7 months later we've be cut working hours from 40 to 24 hours a week, being unable to pay monthly monitoring fees to ADT I explained the situation to them, they sent my account to collections without notifying me and now have a balance of $2,600.00. With no means to pay this I called their office in Gilbert Arizona, they stated that theirs nothing they can do about, another words "SORRY". So consumers beware. I think this is another way of ADT making money in the economy we are all in i.e. losing our jobs, be cut hours at work, etc.
