I saw the Self credit builder loan website says no credit check. The website says they use checked to identify and approve you. You try to sign up and get a message that says to call. They ask for you to unfreeze not one but at least two of your credit accounts to use their service! In addition they show only positive 5 star reviews.

If you click on lowest reviews you will see all the trouble thousands of people are having. The negative reviews say that the company is not even reporting to the big 3 credit reporting companies. Other negative reviews say they did not get refunded at end of secured loan, and customer service is a nightmare. This is a class action lawsuit waiting to happen in my opinion.

Go get a DISCOVER IT SECURED CREDIT CARD INSTEAD WHICH is what I did. It took 5 min online-one short phone call and only one account needed to be unfrozen (Experian) my score was 540 and I got approved instantly in 2 min on the phone no waiting. Card arrives in 2 weeks. After one year they will bump you to a regular card and send you your original deposit without you even asking! Discover will do a hard Inquery so if your score is really low you might not get approved but I thought 540 was low yet took a chance anyway.
