A guy came to my door selling magazine subscriptions. He said he was a student and for every magazine he sold he would get tuition breaks. I told him I couldn't afford it at that present time and to come back in a few weeks. He then explained they often get that response, so they always hold the check for thirty days before cashing it.

I bought two. They were kind of expensive, but he told me that I would also receive a third magazine for free. So, I wrote the check out for $86.00 on August 28, 2002. Not only have I not received the magazines, they cashed the check on September 3, 2002.
