OK, so I figured this was a scam, but wanted to make sure. I got a post on FaceBook from a friend of mine, who knew I was looking for a Jeep. I got the post, emailed the person who owns it, and a few days later I received an email back.

It was from a Sgt Shannon Harris, stationed (or so she says), at Military Logistic Department Fort Robinson, NE U.S. Army

Her second email was as follows:

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in purchased my 2001 Jeep Wrangler. I am selling this jeep because I am in the military and my unit will be sent back to Afghanistan. I don't want it get old in my garage. The price is low because I need to sell it before 25th October. The jeep is in pristine condition, no accident history, clear title, only 63,064 miles, no dents or dings and no scratches. Always adult driven and garaged, never abused or raced. If you are interested, it's still available for sale and the price, as stated in the ad, is $2,500. Let me know if you are interested, email back.
Trans: Automatic
Engine: 4.0L 6 Cyl

I look forward to hearing from you,
Sgt. Shannon Harris

Her next email was this...

The jeep is already at our Military Logistic Department Fort Robinson, NE U.S. Army base ready to go. The transaction will be made thru eBay because they can protect both of us and they also offer 7 days inspection period. You'll have 7 days to test/drive the jeep before decided to keep it or not. If the vehicle is not like I described you'll ship it back on my expense and they will give you a full refund. eBay will hold the funds until you receive the jeep with all the paperwork. Only after you confirm them that you wanna keep it they will release me the funds. In this way you will be able to inspect the vehicle before committing to buy it.

If you want to start the transaction with eBay reply me your full name, shipping address and your phone #, then eBay will contact you with further instructions.

So with all of that, it did not sit right, so I started to research and found that first o fall, Fort Robinson has been closed for a long time and is now a state park. NO one is stationed there.

Then I found two other posts on this Rip Off Report.

So Im writing my story. I did not lose money, and I hope this helps someone with these people

Dont get scammed. When its too good to be true, it typically is too good to be true. Research everything
