Shook & Stone John Shook I was involved in an auto accident was a cab driver with Nellis Cab Co. in Las Vegas. Retained John Shook for a back injury. He and his office staff constantly lied and failed to answer any of my calls. Six weeks before the statute of limitations was due to expire his office calls me and saids they are moving forward with a million dollar request two weeks later they write and drop my case. On May 16, 2008 I retained Shook & Stone to represent me in a work related accident.  I was working for Nellis Cab Co. in Las Vegas, Nv. as a cab driver.  The person who hit me worked with Whittlesea Cab.  John Shook took my case.  At this meeting I told Mr. Shook that no authorities were called that would include Taxi Supervisors and Taxi Authority.  This accident was on private property.  My family was coming in from Texas and I wanted to pick them up at the airport.  I told them how the accident happened and that I immediately called dispatched and was told by Tanya at dispatch to make sure and fillout an "Incident Report" before leaving that day.  I did just that.  Mr. Shook said he would take my case and get a copy of the "Incident Report" himself. 

After about one month I called his office to see if they got a copy of the "Incident Report" and the person handling my case said it would be easier if I got it.  So I went to Nellis to get a copy.  I gave a copy to the person handling my case at "Shook & Stone" soon after.  For months nobody would return any of my calls.  When somebody finally called me months later they said my case had been transferred to somebody else.  Soon after that this Kelly Desalvo e mails me saying she's going on vacation and not to notify them because she is the one who is handling my case.  When she finally returns my call she saids she dosen't have a copy of my "Incident Report".  Of course I told her that I had already given them one not a month after retaining them.  So now again she wants me to do all the work and get Nellis to give me another copy.  So again I get in touch with Ron Pomery at Nellis Cab and he saids "I don't have a copy; where's your copy"?  Ron was saying that no "Incident Report" existed but that's a lie.  These people figured out that I lost my copy and are now on all sides holding out on me.  I went to doctors with no help to my back and only marijuana would releave my pain.  So what I usually do is suffer as I cannot aford to be under the influence all the time.  These people have together conspired to do away with me.  Because I had all the proof of injuries my medics.  Why would Nellis Cab allow their insurance to pay for my injuries if no accident existed. 

So around Thanksgiving of 09 Kelly calls me and says they are proceding with the lawsuit for a million dollars that they usually never get it but they ask for it.  I asked her if Nellis sent over a copy of the "Incident Report" because as of yet they would not give me another copy.  She refused to answer my question.  Then about three or four weeks later Shook & Stone sends me a letter saying they are dropping my case due to no "Incident Report".  This is about 5 days before "Statute of Limitations" is due to expire.  I was so mad that they had lied throughout this ordeal and deceptive and to me defrauded me.  No lawyer I could find wanted to take my case after this.  They clearly screwed me for life.  These people have 000000 integrity.  Sometimes I think that because Las Vegas Cab Drivers have approximatly 5 accidents per day that these Cab Co.'s just screw the Cab driver thru these so called attorneys.
