I was looking for short-term housing and found a link on craigslist for short-term housing. It's a website that advertises dozens of apartments in the US and UK. They require 40% deposit upfront via bank transfer. I started doing research and the apartments do not exist. There have been news reports on people who have fallen for it and showed up to the apt building only to be told their apt does not exist and that they have been scammed.
