Simonson's Foreign Car Service Dishonest fraud deception poor service over charged Hollywood Florida

I brought my new car to Dan Simonson of Simonson's Foreign Car Service after searcing on the internet for Miami Porsche Repair and Hollywood Florida Porsche repair. I have never experienced this kind of treatment at a mechanic before. I will be sure to not put myself in this position again and I would like to protect other honest and hard working consumers from companies that take advantage of them.

Simonson's Foreign Car Service held my car for a total of five days. They tried to sell me $1700 racing tires, telling me that it is the only realisitc option for my car. When I explained that I am trying to save money for my family for Christmas and I could only spend $1200 - he decided that the cheaper tires were actually now perfect for me car. Simonson's Foreign Car Service obviously did not want to lose my business and was willing to tell me anything to make me feel comfortable about the situation. See I was not dealing with your everyday mechanic. I was dealing with a professional salesman. Someone who makes his money talking to people, and convincing them to trust him. This is a man who likely sells used cars though another website but stores them on his hollywood florida porsche repair lot - tricking customers into thinking he has dozens of expensive foreign autos as his client for his repair show. I mentioned to Simonson that there is a small one inch nick on the bumper above the wheel well. He said, "I will have a look at it". Two days later I contacted Dan from Simonson's Foreign Car Service of Hollywood Florida - again - and I told him I wanted to pick up the car. He told me I needed brakes. I was cornered. This fast talking silvered tounge man insisted that my car must have brakes put in, $1400 brakes, ASAP. If I said no he could have tried to damage my car for all I know. I agreed. The next day I called for the price and he said. "$500" for the one inch nick on your bumper.....trying to slide it under the rug. My heart sank. I questioned this right away. He said that they had to repaint it. He said I had to pay that amount because they already painted it and invoiced me for $500, that there was nothing I could do because they did they work, even though I figured it would cost $20 in paid and $20 to buff that side. He got me for $500. The final invoice came down to $3000. I decided that because it was Christmas, and that since I would never work with this man again, and because he was far too intimidating to confront, I would have no choice but to let this go. I got trapped, I got fooled, I am the sucker.

It was tonight, two days later, that I really became upset.

I noticed that this man actually took the time out to REMOVE my license plate cover provided by the dealer, and replace it with his branded liscense plate cover, showing: Simonson's Foreign Car Service.

This man did not ask me if I minded advertising his company? He did not ask me if I minded having my $95,000 car displaying his company name without my knowledge or consent. Why would I allow that? This was AFTER everything I had to deal with. Being sold, over charged, and cheated.

I decided I had enough. I called Dan Simonson in hollywood and complained. I was upset and I felt cheated. He hung up on me after five words. Everything that comes out of his mouth is a lie. He is just a professional salesman. I tried calling back but he did not answer. I am embarrassed to tell people the story. Getting screwed by a crooked mechanic is one thing, having him try to sneak in his custom license guard??? Thats unreal!

Stay far away from Dan Simonson of Simonson's foreign car service. If you are looking for Miami or Hollywood porsche repair then take it to the dealer. You don't need the kind of abuse that I had to get.
