Solas Solas East Village BEWARE OF FALSE RESERVATION SCAMS, OVER CHARGING OF DRINKS, RACISM, AND VIOLENT BEHAVIOR OF STAFF. Internet

I was called downstairs by the guests to personally invite each 21 and up guest inside. I informed all of our 18 through to 20 guests to leave the line and they did peacefully and the owner continued to attempt to bring the females inside. As time progresses more of our 21 and up guest attend where Kevin and his staff begin to over charge our guests for drinks. Where many people were forced to pay 12.50- 15.00 per a drink instead of the usual 5 dollar drinks. The man Kevin complains about people inside not buying enough drinks, wanting more people to show up, makes inappropriate comments that were racist and sexual towards our females.

At this point I confort Kevin peacefull asking him what was his problem and he blatanly called my sister a b***h and that he wanted more money from our guests. I tell him to calm down and to stop cursing. My friends and i tell him that our guests are in the area but they were just confused about the clubs location from the test messages we got sent to us. The manager or owner kevin at this point demands to see these texts and attempts to snatch my phone from my hands and runs upstairs and turn off the lights at my sisters party. He claims shouting to our guests, my sister, and myself that there where minors at our event when infact there were none.

As we walk down stairs nearly half of the people expected to attend show up infornt of the door and kevin realizes that he can infact make the money he wanted so he tells us that we can stay in his bar and proposed that we sat in the back of the lobby. I refused his offer and told our guests and people waiting outside that we should leave thats whenhe told me i had no right to talk to my sister or any of our guests and pushed me.  at this point the guests got upset and left paying for drinks that they never recieved. i later found out he reserved our space for another party as i began to see another group of people entering the second floor.

Kevin after pushing me brings a man who presented himself as NYPD and attempts to use the drunk man in a white undershirt and blue jean shorts to scare me and my guests into entering back into the bar or suffer his consequences. Which was arresting and or possibly using force against us. As soon as my DJ finished packing i left the vecinity with four other friends. Where the following day i filed a harrasment report against the personing managing the bar and a criminal impersonation report for the man who presented himself as NYPD since he refused to present ID and number.

the guests as well as myself will never attend this the Solas Bar and lounge. Four weeks of planning and the the trouble that the dj went through to help coordinate and set up the event were ruined in less than 2 hours.  our apologies go out to our harrased attendes and to our DJ.
