Like so many others I have seen on here. I too got billed for this service which I did not ask for and knew nothing about. They told me on the phone that my wife did it through a website called silvercarrot.com but I checked our computer's browsing history and no one has visited that site from any computers on our home network so I doubt that's how it happened. In any event they SAID they will credit me my money back on my next phone bill. We'll see. I don't understand how AT&T can let just any yahoo that decides they want to tag some extra thing to your phone bill just do it no questions asked though.

This just happened to me.I never ordered anything they used an email address that was not mine, called them and said I was reporting them to the FBI.gov website as cyber crime to my State Attorney generals office,my phone company and the two local tv stations in my area.the phone company(EBARQ)saide they were removing the charges.I raised hell with them as what right did they have placing third party charges and billing me without calling me to confirm charges me.you can block any third party charges and I have done so already.

A phone company's reps advice

The first thing a consumer needs to realize is that as a phone company Att and others have no choice but to add the charges when they are sent to them. Thanks to Bill Clinton and signing into law equal access. Due to this law the phone company has to accept the charges until the cst disputes them. What the consumer needs to do is call the phone compnay and request a block against "3rd party billing". One thing to remeber is, I know you are upset, but the phone company rep on the other end has the abitlity to give you credit for the charges but the more rude you are to the rep the less likely the rep will be willing to help you. Most reps are what is called empowered reps and can give credit up to a certain alotment. So, if you work with the rep the will most likely issue the credit and add the block for you.
