Some collection agency kept harriessing my wife and I about some money we supposedly owed. At first we couldn't figure out what he was talking about. One day he called and my wife was home to answer. He told my wife they where going to take legal acction so she paid him that day. Since then he has withdrawn several times. Please help me...

Their Real Name

The owner of the company is Jason Schneck- the real name of the company is Schneck and Schneck Inc. They are located on 21 Princeton in Orchard Park, NY. Their direct phone number is 716-972-1590. You have to be careful when dealing with them because they pad their accounts meaning they will add an extra 100-200 dollars to the actual amount used. They also use spoof accounts meaning they can call you from a different number and have it show up like its coming from your local sheriffs office. This company uses many illegal practices, my suggestion to you is to call the New York State Attorney General and file a claim. Record everything you can, because if the company is found in violation of the FDCPA then they become liable for the amount due, and you can get them to pay it off for you for being so low down and dirty.

Never EVER give money to a debt collector until you have written proof of the debt. IF they threaten legal action then once again demand written proof. You got scammed! Close that account, file a fraud report and never give money to anyone for any reason!

How did they get your account#?

My advise to you is go to the bank and report this as a fraudulant transaction. Then issue a stop payment on this . I would also suggest closing the account and reopening it with new # then change your phone # and have it unlisted but no further imformation be given on the new 1.
It seems to me that this idiot scammed you out of some money . I never give any imformation to a collection agency especially my account #s . If this caller has a middle eastern accent or some other type of foreign accent then it is nothing but a scam.

Close Your Bank Account!

If this company has your bank account information, close your bank account now and move to another bank.
From what I can gather on an Internet search, this company appears to be fraudulent. I suggest you stay off the phone and contact the Attorney General's office to find out if there have been complaints filed against them.
If it was an actual debt even past the statute of limitations for collection, you reset the clock by paying any money.
