SpaQuest, Desmond Williams And Diego I booked a trip to Cancun through SpaQuest and received no commission and they are now out of business. New York New York

I am a home-based travel agent. Some clients wanted to stay at a hotel in Cozumel so I went online and found SpaQuest. I eventually booked 3 rooms at an all-inclusive resort in November of 2008. My clients stayed at the hotel in April and were told that they had not received payment from SpaQuest. After several phone calls and e-mails SpaQuest assured me that the bill was paid. However, when my clients left later that week they were required to give the hotel their charge card as the bill was not paid. After multiple e-mail and calls to Spa-Quest and the hotel we eventually got it taken care of even though I ended up paying $150 for additional fees my client was hit with. I decided to "eat" the cost rather than protest any further. It is now July and I still had not received my commission so I tried to contact SpaQuest. Guess what? They are no longer accessible on their web site or their telephone numbers. I guess I should count myself lucky that I didn't have to "eat" the entire cost of my clients vacation. I lost $150 and LOTS and LOTS of time.
