Spinnaker Resorts Sold a timeshare visit - with a two year time to book and an anytime cancel, but none of that was true. Branson, MO Nationwide

I was contacted by phone and offered a visit to a timeshare in Hilton Head, SC.  I was told that I had 1.5 years to book the trip, and that I could cancel at any time.  They said I could call my credit card company and that they would be able to cancel easily.  

Six months have passed and I have called the agency twice.  First time, they said I couldn't book a trip a year ahead; I could only book about 3 months ahead.  That left us ill at ease.  Next I called to see if I could cancel as I didn't see the possibility that we would actually be able to use the timeshare.  I was then told that my cancel period was only 30 days from the time of issue, and that had passed.  The only thing they could do was extend the timeshare rental window until 2018.  I probably will never get to use it, but I have more time to wonder about this operation.

The person on the phone definitely lied about so many things, that I don't feel good about going.  And I have no recourse because the woman who answers the phone is very well-versed at sayins, "the cancellation period is 30 days."
