Simply put I  followed the written policy on my receipt and return some items that could not be used because it was determined that they were not appropriate due to the outfit being lower cut and inappropriately sexually suggestive. My daughter would have gotten in trouble at school if she had worn it and there was no way to alter it so that it was acceptable. My daughter and her friend were in the store shopping for replacements while I handled the refund.  We were planning to make other purchases.

I return the unworn, unused, unopened items with my receipt on Oct 18 as noted on the receipt and was told that I would not be given a refund. I was treated rudely by the staff and yelled at and threatened with them calling police to throw me out. I agreed to call the police ...I did nothing wrong...why not...then the sales person ?manager angryly agreed to give a refund for some items but not others even though he admitted they were not used.  Initially he agreed to refund the hose but not the wig that was still in a sealed bag.

Then he refused to refund the hose or the wig and  suddenly the hose "disappeared"  as he told me I had them or did not bring them in and he continued to tell me to leave the store without the merchandise and without the money or refund. He screamed at me that he did not have the merchandise until another employee saw it on the floor behind the counter and handed it to him. He refused to refund my card and was hostile and abusive to me while I was in the store even with me asking him to please stop screaming at me.

Very unprofessional store staff...unfortunately the police never came. I wish they had. Immediately I tried to call the corporate office and got a recording they are closed .....it is very obvious they don't care if they rip you off.  This is not the first time I have had a problem with this store but it will be my last.  It was not until he learned that I had connections with the police department that he gave me any refund of any kind. I don't think he wanted to  really talk to the police. They know they are ripping people off.  The policy stated on the receipt is not followed.

Refund policy not followed

AUTHOR: Alabama mom - ()

POSTED: Saturday, October 19, 2013

Obviously, the reference to the unopened unused items was to the hose and the wig. The store  representative who appeared to be the manager had no issue with refunding the costume initially and then flip flopped back and forth on his decision on the refund as if it had nothing to do with policy but strictly his sole discretion and that his personal decision overruled the written policy on the receiptIt was obvious that none of the items were used and he knew it especially since I had spoken with him when the purchase was made and said in advance that I needed to know the return policy since i was not sure it would work.  I only put the purchases on my credit card initially as I thought if a refund was needed it would be simple. We had plan to pay cash for any purchases on the 18th because the policy for a refund for purchases at that point was not available according to store policy since it is a seasonal item which is reasonable. After receiving a partial refund I left the store and the property immediately. I did not linger as I had concern for the children who were with me and knew the store staff had no intention of following the written company policy.IF your store policy is no refunds for any reason with or without a receipt then just state that and then customers wont be upset.  As it is this is a form of fraud.

Another day another **s...Seriously it must be that time of year.

First off if your daughter and her friend were getting replacements, why were you insistant that they REFUND your purchase to your credit card?  Why didn't you just do the EXCHANGE and then deal with the difference either way(credit or paying more)?

I return the unworn, unused, unopened items

- Unopened?  Then how come you didn't know it was inappropriate until you got home?  Did you just randomly pick up a package without looking at the picture on the front?  How would you know there was no way to alter it unless you opened it?

Oh and as for your "connections" to the police department.   Yea that worked out really well for you, especially when they FAILED to show up.

I don't think he wanted to  really talk to the police

- I don't think you really wanted to either...or you would have used your "connections" to make sure they came.

Immediately I tried to call the corporate office and got a recording they are closed

- Okay so we know you had a phone.  So why didn't you call the police since you were more than anxious to talk to them.  Oh and as for being closed...how about telling us what time you called.  Who knows perhaps they aren't a company that works 24/7 to handle every **s that comes along.

I think the FULL story is a lot more interesting and probably doesn't show you in the best light.
