Last year I emailed my pictures to Splash Model Management. Being that I am not located in the town where the agency is, me, Ann Leister and her daughter (who is her assistant), had met at a local cafe. She led me on by telling me that I had a great look and that she would be interested in signing me. I asked her a few questions to make sure that she would not force me to pay upfront.

She did not force me to pay upfront and I was relieved about that. She told me that I have a great stature for bridal work and suggested that I should build my portfolio. I tried asking her if she could suggest some photographers to me. She informed me that she would do so the day after the meeting. As I stated above, she misled me and lied to me. To this day, I have not been able to get in contact with Ann Leister.

When I was "signed" with her, I was NEVER sent on any go-sees, cattle calls or anything that a legit agency would have their model do in order for the agency to make money. Might I add that she's in charge of Virginia Fashion Week. In a nutshell, I would not suggest that any models should sign with her.

How can we be a ripoff if we took no money

AUTHOR: Splash Model - ()

POSTED: Sunday, September 28, 2014

I don't understand how this person can call my company a ripoff when we took no money from her.  She didn't sign her name but I'm guessing its a persistant young lady we were willing to meet with.  No agency can get everyone who see's them a job.  We had her sign a non-exclusive, non-committal application agreeement and said we'd consider working with her.  She did not have pictures of the calibar that would get her jobs so nothing came of it.   Her emails were a bit annoying and unprofessional so after evaluating it all I felt she was not a fit for our company.   She was never under any obligation to us and we are under no obligation to her.  This ripoff report is nonsense.  WE are a highly reputable and honest company.  Ripoff report should be for companies that take upfront money!  This person is obviously not intelligent enough to even understand the definition of a "Ripoff".  Sorry if I was being kind and complementary to this person.  That's all it was.  You try to be nice but this idiot files a "ripoff report" ?  Again no money was every exchanged!
