SpoilMeSafe.com is a known credit card harvesting scam used when trying to meet people though online chat rooms and Craigslist. Unfortunately, my younger brother didn't heed my warnings on these forums and within minutes of giving up his credit card number to validate he was not a sex offender, his credit card was used to charge jewelery and electronics in various places around the world. In addition, he never got any verification of the person he was chatting with.

His bank was able to cover some of his charges but warned that the information he gave actually went to a website in Germany and therefore was unprotected by US bank laws.
