St. Matthews Churches Prayer Rug, Ripoff, Scan Tulsa Oklahoma

Last night I received a letter from SMC. I didn't hesitate to open and read the letter because there are so many people praying for our son right now that it isn't unusual for us to receive cards or letters telling us he has been added to a prayer list or chain, etc.

Our son will be eight months old next week and he has been having unexplained seizures since he was 2 1/2 months old. Right now we are struggling with several different "obstacles and of course this letter seemed like it was truly meant to be sent to us. I guess I wanted so badly for it to be real that I didn't even notice the obvious... it was address to Resident of this Address instead of to us personally.

I read the letter several times and was a tiny bit hesitant because of the mention of money and the place on the back of the letter to enter the amount you are going to be sending. However, I did as the letter instructed. I waited for my fianc and my son to go to bed so it would be quiet and I would be alone. I went into my son's room (it seemed like the right place to be) and knelt on the "prayer rug" and prayed like I haven't prayed in forever.. well, never maybe. I placed the rug in the Bible as instructed and slept with it beside my bed.

Last night I filled out the back of the letter and filled in that I was sending $20. This morning I got ready to write my check and decided to only send $10 and prayed that if this were a legit family of God that I would know and I would gladly send more money. I kept thinking I needed to look on the internet but didn't have time before I had to leave. I did however write down the address and looked it up as soon as I came home. What did I find first thing...this website.

I have already sent my $10 but I am going to stop payment on the check. It will cost me even more but this horrible company will not be able to get my money.

I don't feel all is lost here. I truly feel my son will be healed. Not because of the prayer rug or this supposed church family but because even though this was a scam, I honestly prayed my heart out to God. Something I should have done a long time ago.
