"Stack Overflow is a programming Q & A site thats free. " -as they advertise. They pride themselves in offering help to young IT professionals. However their posting guidelines give more chance for arrogant people to ban, flag and dismiss topics than actually provide an answer.

I've unsuccessfully posted several questions about topics that are of my interest in the IT field. However, I have been offensively flagged and my reputation turned down because Stack Overflow's rating policies promote more internet vandalism than real knowledge or helpfulness.

Among the users that instead of helping spend more time flagging people and closing questions are, thkala, bensiu, Linger, Ram kiran, tony blue, shelter and Kev These users instead of helping or making an effort to understand what is asked, spend their entire time waiting for questions to flag or close. This is just because Stack Overflow's policy rewards arrogance and ignorance more than it rewards collaboration or cooperation, as it falsely claims to do.

In the end unless your question can be reduced to lines of code, you will be disappointed and your questions unanswered.
IRC channels are more helpful than Stack Overflow.
