Star of David picked up our belongings on June 1, 2004 they asked us for a date for delivery, we said June 9, 2004. June 9 came and went without a word, we called to find out what was going on. They said they would now put us on the schedule and we would receive our delivery w/in fourteen days. We spoke to both the dispatcher and a customer service rep who were both extremely rude and told us many times to "read the contract" that it is not their responsibility to keep us updated.
We waited a few days and then on June 14 got a call from a rep stating that our stuff would arrive by the 17th or 18th. We still hadn't heard from them by the evening of the 17th so we called and spoke to the dispatcher. He now claims that the truck that was supposed to be delivering our furniture was stolen in VA but did not yet have any furniture on it but now the truck has to go back to Florida for inspection and our delivery date is pushed back yet another week. He told us to "leave him alone" and "your stuff will get there when it gets there" They will call us the night before our stuff is delivered. They have been degrading and rude. We've asked many time to speak to the owner but no one will give a name or number.
Is this good customer service?? I told the dispatcher that this was bad business and he said "No ma'am you are bad! "take a reading class and then read the contract"

We received our furniture on the 14th day... as Ron said " I have 14 business days to get you your furniture, therefore, you will see it on the 14th business day". We received MOST of our furniture... we wanted to inspect our belongings before payment but, they refused. They required CASH payment before taking the stuff off of the truck. Our money order was no good to them. Upon receiving the furniture, a bureau, desk and a bed were destroyed. We are also missing probably 6-8 boxes of our stuff. This issue has not been resolved. Tomorrow is the 1st business day since we received our stuff so we will deal with it then.

then a list of moving companies on ripoff report will be displayed.
click on next page, you will find another customer located in Buffalo Grove, Illinois filed the complain for star of david as well.

I had bad experience with star of david moving as well, not sure if this is the same company we you deal with. The one i deal with is located in FL, their phone number is 877-770-4355
Also, we found another customer had fight with star of david.
If this is the company you're dealing with, we can join together to fight with them.
