Star-Tech Refusal to pay wages to employee Lake City Florida

Greetings,

I was initially hired at this company, Star-Tech, to be an in house tech.

I was given an interview, and asked to return to work on a few systems for the owner, Bryant.

After the first day, and completeing a laptop and six deshtop systems for this company on that day, I was asked to return to work the next business day.

I did so, in all confidence that I was employed. I was told I would be paid $10/hour, and that payday was on Saturdays. I workd that entire day, fixing and repairing a few more laptops, desktops, and cleaning off a few (9) refurbished LCD monitors.

When I returned to come to work the next day, I was told by the owner, Bryant, that he wanted to try out a few other people for the position. I did not have a problem with this.

I had already completed 14 hours of work for this company. When I returned on Saturday, the owner was not there, and was unavailable for any contact. So, I returned on Monday.

I was told by the owner, that because he was making NO money on the systems I worked on, he would not be paying me for the 14 hours I worked for his company. His excuse was that I was interviewing for 14 hours, and that he did not have to pay me for that time.

Anyway, I find this to be a rip-off, in the sence that he deneyed me pay for services rendered. If he is this much of a scammer for his employees, one can only guess how he really treats his customers!
