Starlight Camera AKA Accessories Land Ripoff, Liars, Pushers, Dishonest, Horrible Customer Service Brookland New York

I had been searching for a digital camera for some time now when I decided on a model after researching it at canon.com/usa. I put in a search on google and found accessories-land.com. They had some really good prices, the best I found. After two days of deliberation, I decided to place my order.

After that, don't ask me why I didn't do this first, I put put in their name under google, and what I found was shocking. Dozens and dozens of troubled customer reports. Reports included that the company used threats, lied, repeatedly hung up on them, did not receive promised merchandise and most of all customers were denied product after refusing to buy "accessories" even when before hand they were told it was in stock.

That night I tried to call and cancel my order. They were closed. Running in a panic mode I called my bank, bank of america, and told them the situation, I canceled my card and they told me that no charges were placed on it at that time, this is because after you purchase something, a little message proclaiming that you must call to confirm order before it will be processed.

The next morning the company called me to confirm my order. I asked to have the order canceled, they asked me why. They then said in a rough way, "what's the real reason." I told them that was all I had to say, they were persistent so I finally told them about all the bad reports around their name. He told me I would be subject to a cancellation fee, I asked how that was possible when I hadn't even finalized my order yet. He told me he didn't know what I was talking about and like in every other case, hung up on me.

My card has been canceled so they can not charge it. DO NOT buy from these people! File reports, CALL YOUR BANK. I plan to file a report with the BBB, as well as the fraud dept at my bank. BE CAREFUL, cancel your card ASAP if you already placed an order.
