I purchased and HPLC from Mike Appelman and he said it was full refurbished "turnkey" system that could be dropped shipped to client. I received the Invoice and I had to remind him to make sure the computer and software were included.  He said that he didn't have it on the invoice therefore he was not including it.  I had to send him emails with him stating what was included in the sale.  He finally agreed t send me the system with computer/software, but complained about how expensive it was for him to do so.

When we received the instrument, it was missing all the cables, tubing and was extremely dirty.  We had to go to a local reseller to purchase what was missing becasue he refused to send us everything that was missing. His excuse was that we should have these parts on hand...    It cost $750.00 to make the system complete.  However, the system never has worked properly and it continues to give issues and now Mike refuses to respond to emails or return our calls.  We now have to purchase new components because the unit can not be repaired.

I talked with his old business partner that stated this happens frequently and that mike actually stole all the equipment from him, hense why they are no longer in business together.  I strongly suggest you purchase from someone else as you do not get what he states.  He does not stand by his warranty and will go MIA after he sells you the instrument that doesnt work.
