On 12th December Stephen Sutcliffe (Chief Financial Officer of Warrington NHS Clinical Commissioning Group) was questioned by police in Salford over allegations of intercepting emails contrary to the Computer Misuse Act. Mr Sutcliffe had gained unauthorised access into his ex wife's email account and was accessing confidential email between his ex wife and her solicitor relating to their ongoing divorce.

On 7th February 2014 Greater Manchester Police confiirmed that the Crown Prosecution Service will be summoning Stephen Alan Sutcliffe to appear before Manchester Magistrates Court within the next few weeks.
