Stewart Abramson Inc. is a scam.  The business operates with an official sounding dba of Allegheny CC (I assume this is meant to mimic Allegheny County Courthouse.)  This office sends letters and emails threatening people with legal action if they do not agree to arbitrary settlement amounts.  

My business received a letter from "Allegheny CC" using what appeared to be official letterhead, saying, "SUMMONS: PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT YOU ARE HEREBY SUMMONED to answer the complaint of the Plaintiff herein and to serve a copy of your answer on the Plaintiff at the address indicated below within 20 days after service is complete. Should you fail to answer, a judgment will be entered against you by default for the relief demanded in the complaint."  It was clearly stated that in order to avoid this pending lawsuit, I could simply pay $10,000, and they/he would go away.

Having no knowledge of any complaint against our business, I researched in detail where the notice came from. While your average person may have difficulty uncovering a trail of shell company names, dba's and false addresses leading to Stewart Abramson Inc - it was no problem for me as a former private investigator. In fact, I found Stewart Abramson already has a poor reputation as a con artist.

I did not respond to this letter, as it is obviously falsified and I have better uses of my time - but someone should look into him or his company to put a stop to the madness.  I don't know if what he does is legal - is certainly feels like extortion to threaten people with a lawsuit unless they pay you money to go away, but this is what he does, and he really chose the wrong person to try and rip off - because I found him and am exposing his game here.  Better luck next time buddy!
