 STRYKER MOVERS - RIP-OFF - BROKE MY STUFF - NO INSURANCE - SEXUAL ABUSE         

I am a single 22 year old female college student living in Manhattan. Last week I moved my one bedroom apartment for the quoted price of $239 as advertised by this fraudulent moving company on CraigsList for a flat rate including packing all my things. When they came to my new apartment they said that the price did not include the stairs, packing or travel time and that it would be $600. Although they advertised they took credit cards, they insisted on cash and insisted that they drive me to an ATM as I only had $300 on me. Then they insisted on charging me another $50 for the time it took to take me to the bank. I called the police and the police said that I had to pay them because the Bill of Lading did not specify the "flat rate" but an hourly rate and additional charges for additional services. I was really ripped off by these crooks. I had no choice but to use them as I had to move out that day and had no time to get another mover. And things got much worse, much, much worse.

They dropped my things down the stairs breaking an antique night table worth $5,000. They also broke a set of 12 Baccarat heirloom wine glasses that were my parents wedding gifts that were worth $400 a glass, another $4,800.

When I first called them and said that I wanted to purchase additional insurance they said that was not necessary because they has a million dollars in liability insurance for the packing and moving into the truck and a million dollars in cargo insurance for the move in the truck. When I went to make a claim they told me that I signed a Bill of Lading that specified thirty cents a pound and that they were responsible only for that and offered me $30. They are really crooks. Thye belong in jail. But it gets much worse.

When I complained that they broke these things that had been in my family for generations the movers got really abusive. They said I lied about the value and was trying to cheat them and they they were going to teach me a lesson. They held me down on my bed and groped me and tried to rape me. One of them ripped my cloths off. Fortunately, my boyfriend arrived at that moment and they all ran off. I made a police report and hope they get arrested. So far the police have not been able to find them as no one knows them at 244 Fifth Avenue.

This company does not have a listed telephone number and the address they gave appers to be a phony address. There is no record of them with the Department of Transportation. They are really a rip-off company. DO NOT USE THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES - IF YOU DO YOU WILL BE SORRY .

I would sue them but I can not find an address to serve them at. The property they broke is irreplaceable. This along with the attempted rape has made me an emotional wreck.

As I said, AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. THEY ARE EVIL.
