This company should be SHUT DOWN ! they were unscrupulous from start to finish. they quoted a price of which I paid a deposit of 50% then when it came time to actually move the written estimate MAGICALLY changed . However that was the least of my NIGHTMARE with Suddath/United Van Lines The day I was before I moved I was told that payment in full was due BEFORE they moved one stick of furniture into my new home So basically they held my art, furniture and personal belongings as RANSOM to get paid They are the WORST business practice ever. DO NOT use them

To Whom It May Concern,
This response is tendered on behalf of Suddath Relocation Systems of Ft. Lauderdale, Inc. (“Suddath”) in response to Ripoff Report case number 1277207.
Suddath moved Ms. Schiff to Boca Raton, Florida. I understand that Ms. Schiff is looking for reimbursement for damaged items.
In accordance with the transportation documents Ms. Schiff signed, Ms. Schiff will need to file a claim outlining specific items damaged or lost in order for Suddath to resolve her complaint. Once a claim is filed, Suddath will hire professional vendors to inspect Ms. Schiff’s items and determine what can and cannot be repaired.
Ms. Schiff advised that she has no intentions of letting Suddath handle any repairs and will not file a claim. Further, Ms. Schiff informed Suddath that her attorney will be handling her complaint through legal means. Therefore, if Ms. Schiff does not file a claim, Suddath will not be able to proceed with the appropriate actions.
Suddath hopes that this response is helpful to Ripoff Report and Ms. Schiff.
