Superior Discount Coin, Your Coin Broker.com Failure to Deliver Product Breckenridge Colorado

I heard several radio ads from Superior Discount Coin on different radio stations in the DFW metroplex. I went to the web site and then called and spoke with the owner, Mr Jim Burg. He recommended that I buy 12 old gold coins for $20,500.

I wired him the money withinn the hour. After two weeks and not receiving the product, I called and was told that due to demand, it was going to just take a few more days. This pattern repeated itself for the next three months. I would try to call and speak to Mr Burg from my phone number and it always went to voice mail, with never a return call. However, I could call from my hotel room number and he would pick right up.

After two months of him keeping my $20,500 without delivering the gold coins, I hired an attorney to write a demand letter for a full refund. He again said that it would take more time to come up with the money.

I then called the DA in Summit County and he told me that they had received several reports from all around the country, complaining of the same issue, money sent and no product shipped.

I then contacted the FBI, in Glenwood Springs, CO and made a formal complaint. The agent took my complaint and told me that he knew Mr Burg from a history of similar complaints.

I then contacted his advertisers here, locally. They called and told me that they too, were receiving numerous complaints and had talked to Mr. Burg. They told me that they had told Mr. Burg that he would not be allowed to advertise til he resolved these complaints.

I then received a full refund. He is not afraid of legal action, but didn't want his revenue tream to dry up, so he finally made good on past complaints.

I finally did a BBB query, something that I should have done first, and discovered that he has a rating of F.
As a sidelight, he advertises that his prices are 75% lower than his competition. Actually, the same coin that he was going to sell me for $1,721, was available elsewhere for $1,150. Jim Burg is crooked, stay away!
